Man Walks Out of Court Naked, Arrested Yet Again

Stephen Gough, 48, otherwise known as the “naked rambler”, was imprisoned for 20 months but within twenty minutes of his release from court he was butt-naked again, and was returned to his prison cell.

He was told to keep covered and break this pattern but 6 steps out of court, wearing only his rucksack and beard he was cuffed. His last offence was for walking from Land’s End to John O'Groats which began in June 2005 and lasted nine months.

Sheriff Maciver said: “the view of court, was that members of the public should not have to tolerate completely naked people in full view on public streets.” Gough said he had been kept in solitary confinement because he could not keep his cloths on.

Yeh, I don't usually make typos that are quite so entertaining, if a little scary!

The UK can't lock up their gangs
but they can lock up a naked guy? Sounds like the naked guy is the lucky one.

I think I remember watching a documentary about this guy, [or someone similar], wasnt he and his girlfriend walking, and he got arrested, though at the moment I cant think why she wasn't arrested aswell ? Or did she not continue the walk with him, she backed out somewhere along the line... I have a terrible memory..

I also recall seeing the documentary, didn't at one point another person join them in their walk. I'm not completely certain as it was a while ago that I saw it though.

Somewhere very cold,(maybe Siberia)for 6 months and then see how long he will walk around butt naked.

Wednesday, Feb 22, 2006 "Naked ramblers complete windy trek across UK"

" The February wind blowing off the Pentland Firth in Scotland should be a deterrent to anyone planning a long walk. So, as the Naked Rambler and his girlfriend finally arrived at the northernmost tip of Scotland on Monday, their first thoughts turned to clothes.

"Quick, get them on," Stephen Gough said to his partner, Melanie Roberts. It is a phrase that has been muttered, without success, by a good many people since the pair set out in their birthday suits from Land's End, the most southerly point in Britain, last June. "You get used to the cold when you're walking about, but the minute you stop that's when it hits," Gough said, reaching for a pair of green Y-fronts.

Before they dressed, there was a little welcome party of locals waiting at John O'Groats with cameras and mobile phones to record the end of the 1,398km naked walk. Bobbie, a man in his 70s from the village of Halkirk, near Thurso, had driven down especially.

"It's not him I've come to see, it's the girlfriend; I'm a bachelor so I've not seen as much as a married man," he said unabashed. "It's a bit of fun. There's not much else to brighten the winter here."

So yes, you were correct Vamp! ;)
