Jesus Struck by Lightning

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - a statue of Christ the Redeemer was struck by lightning in a bizarre thunderstorm on Sunday.

According to Brazilian reports, the statue has endured minimal damage and is to remain standing even after the uncanny event.

The statue is the world's tallest of Christ, standing at a towering 39.6 metres. In 2007, it was named as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.

  Lightning is good and all but...

Why the hell is this one of the Seven Wonders of the World when Stonehenge is not? Does no one else see a HUGE problem with this?

I would supposed if it was at the bottom of a hole in the ground it would be and act of god, but the talles thing in the city makes you wonder why this hasn't been reported before.

  @vash, bala

Stonhenge is one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages. There are a bunch of categories: ancient world, modern world, natural wonders, underwater wonders, etc.

  why...

Why is this one of the seven wonders of the world, but the statue of liberty isn't on any of the lists. The statue of liberty is bigger than this jesus statue.

This is only a drill, do not respond - GOD

If this had been an actual emergency you would have been told where to tune in for local news coverage and crisis instructions.
