A team at University College London has announced that it is working on a diet pill which will give the user the feeling of being full even after only consuming small amounts of food.
The team claims that the pill, if successful, could produce similar results to surgery and will be available within a decade. The pill blocks the stomachs ability to expand to digest food and is set to replace the process of stomach stapling.
The news of the pill has been published in the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics and it's creators say the pill "would be a brand new approach to weight control."
