Myanmar's Solution to Energy Crisis: Nuts

Myanmar has a chronic energy shortage and one Kyaw Sinnt thinks that the solution lies in producing biofuel from the physic nut. Jatropha, how it is also known, has been planted around perimeters of each farming plot.

Sounds like a great idea in theory except the series of corrupt government officials and even less support needed to produce and refine the oil from the nut has rendered the idea useless in the least.

One business man has gone as far to say that the plantations are a waste of time and are similar to the theories for irrigating except again there was never any support from officialdom.
