"Underage Girls Gone Wild" Lands Founder In Hot Water

"Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis claims that a U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak and his ex-law partner are behind a new lawsuit which accuses the porn king of filming girls who were underage performing provocative acts.

Francis claims the case is retribution for a similar suit brought against him by the judges former law partner Ross McCloy which was settled following his incarceration for making threats during a deposition.

McCloy represents four women who claim they were 17, 16, 15 and 13 when they were solicited to participate in his "Girls Gone Wild" videos.

All the suites above should be changed to "suit".

And lawsuit is one word :)

AND fry him. He's no worse than a creepy old guy with a camera filming kids at a park. 13??? How do you not know a girl is 13?

Some 13-year-old girls look a lot older than they are, you'd be surprised.

joe does coke as does his buddies and you know they are drunk and high and of course stupid as they film them. he has a sign up on a doorway. its a legal disclaimer much like six flags. it says if you enter you have no rights to the film proceeds and you willfully partake in whatever goes on. that was his legal tactic and much like 6 flags it barely holds up in court but its better then 0.

  well

he is also going to get busted for filming Gov. Spitzer's prostitute--- the one that is now famous. She was 17 when filmed on GGW. How many charges against him till they lock him up and throw away the key?

  Fry Him? Lock him UP?

Okay I don't agree with what this man is doing. He is honestly exploiting women for financial gain. However last time I checked for the most part that was not illegal.

In most part this is a witch hunt against this man. Someone is making a polictical career of this man's back simply exploiting him and going against true justice.

He just got out of jail after being there for a year. Why? Because the judge and prosecutor were making a name for themselves using him as their launch.

It was a botched charge especially since it was not him filming nor one of his guys but a private filming company.

That is like a newspaper company who uses a website to get stock photos getting charged because the owner of the stock photo website on the side takes pictures of naked underage girl for porn.

These girls may have been solicited for video. Did they do it? Were they in a place where they appeared to be 18 such as an 18 and up club? Did they lie about their age? Were they dressed sexually and madeup to make them look older than they were? How involved were they in the filming if any took place?

At first glance it looks like the girls were in a place they shouldn't have been showing off their tatas and trying to act like older girls. Probably had a drink in their hand.

And what the heck is a 13 year old doing out without parental supervision?

Someone needs to point the finger back at those parents. Where was the supervision?

  P.S.

Very suspicious this is a civil suit and not a criminal suit.

You think someone may be after a little $$$

quoted from article

"They want unspecified monetary damages.
"

So looks like these girls were unsupervised at a drunken event like Mardi Gras, took of their tops, got caught by family and embarassed themselves. They copped out and said they were too young to know better. Families pissed that little Susie is a slut and it's Joe Francis fault for their daughter sneaking out, going to the beach and getting freaky on camera for a Tshirt.

Then knowing he made millions think they should be compensated for more than a T-Shirt.

  hmmm

maybe he thought some of the 17 yr. olds were of legal age, but a 13 yr. old?? I find that dubious.

  @shawn1flog

I have to say I agree with most of your comments. The parents of these girls are probably suffering from the realization that they have sluts as children and want compensation for it. It really does come down to the parents for not being responsible for their children and their activities. Bad parenting all around.

However, within the last few years the laws on pornography have changed. All film makers are now required to get proof of age before filming. So in this instance, the onus falls completely on him for not obtaining this from these girls.

While I agree with you and shawn1flog regarding this guy getting somewhat screwed over, I have to continually wonder at the all the comments I see regarding bad parenting. I would have to assume they are from those who either

A. Have no children of their own
B. Have very small children
C. Are Ward and June Cleaver in make-believe land. When a child becomes mentally emancipated, there's hardly a g*damn thing you can do about it short of beating them into submission. And that surely won't work. I can honestly say, been there, done that. You cannot spend all your waking-parenting moments watching those who are teetering on the edge of adulthood.

  @John E Angel

I think the parenting starts earlier than that. by 13 your girl is probably already set in a path to being upright or a slut. There are some Girls I know that would never flash their breast regardless of how wasted they are while i know some that do it when they really arn't that wasted. I think to do with them being taught to respect themselves and to public dignity when they are young children by tweens it is too late.

+1 for Daev
Probably good kids in your future :)
Like Chris Rock says, "My only job in life is ta keep my daughter off tha pole. If your daughter's a stripper, you F*ed up. You thought you had a household - no - you have a Ho' camp".

-2 for John E. Angel
1 for not understanding his comment (parenting doesn't start at age 13) and
1 for jumping on the "you must not have kids so all your advice sucks" soapbox.
You don't need to have kids to know that if you raise them right from the time they can talk - you'll have good kids.
If you don't, you'll be suing this knucklehead in civil court and making millions...wait a minute...

  by: aardvark   03/26/2008 08:18 PM
  BS

You can raise kids to be prim and proper from birth and then teach them to love all people and Jesus. If they want to go out and whore themselves afterward, are you a bad parent? Screaming 'bad parent!' is a cop out and a fantasy that you can actually control your children's destiny.

  by: John E Angel     03/26/2008 08:45 PM
  13-16 are still being raised

Thing is these were still kids being raised at home. A parent should have some control over what their kids do while at home.

Where were the girls is the question? Were they out for Spring Break at the Beach? Who let the 13 year old go? Did she lie to her parents where she was going? If she lied to them to go be buck wild on the beach then she could have also lied about her age?

If her parents aren't responsible because she lied and said she was going to study at Jenny's house then why is this guy responsible for being lied to and told they were 18 and everything pointed them to being 18 since they were likely acting the fool on video at an 18 only club.

It's not just bad parenting. There comes a point when folks stop being victims are actually accomplices to a crime.

  I guess

those t-shirts that those little sluts got, wasn't enough for the embarassment of going to high school and having everyone that is a male (everyone in highschool watches those stupid tapes) make fun of them. Whatever, they were the ones that said "oh yeah i'll take my shirt off for a t-shirt." Even when I was 13, i knew about the whole "stranger" policy. Wondering why they went ahead and decided it was cool to get naked. Dumb girls. Tabbycool is also correct, some 13 year olds, geez, they just like 31 to me. That's why I always ask for ID when meeting a new person, make sure they are actually above 18. HAHAHAHA -- MF

  Well...

Regardless of if it was bad parenting and other points brought up, we should focus on him, not the underage girls.

Was Francis irresponsible in his film making procedures? Yes, he should have worked more diligently to make sure such film was destroyed, have them fill out waivers and check ID's again.

Was Francis explicitly trying to exploit underage women? No, I believe he was an idiot when it came to the actually sitting up the procedures in his Girls Gone Wild franchise.

lets face it, with the horomones and steroids in the foods and shit now days, a 13 year old girl could easily pass as an 18 year old. he shouldnt be charged for these underage girls if he has a sign explaining the situation. the parents should be charged for allowing their children in that type of environment. come to my town during tourist season in the summer.. you cant tell a 21 year old from a 15 year old, no lie. you literally have to ask to see her ID before taking the conversation any further. its crazy..and im sure in whatever location this took place, its the same type of deal. you guys are saying its wrong what he is doing.. rappers and rock stars do the same thing pretty much with their music and videos. taking him to jail is not going to stop this type of stuff. you have to goto the parents of the children involved. if you dont, then those kids are just going to get back into the scene and repeat the process over and over until they end up an addict, raped, or killed. and it is simple as that. it may sound harsh, but welcome to reality.

  by: anonymousdude   03/27/2008 09:57 AM
  why why why

Ok don't this guy hangout at events like spring break and such to be around large numbers of parting girl? Because I got to tell you I have 3 daughters now 24 (married) 19 and the youngest is 16 and never and I mean never have left them alone under those circumstances while they we're minor... Come on people take responsability for watching your own children it's part of the payment you endure for the fun of laying down and making them. Who in there right mind would allow a 13 yr old to be alone with drunk wild college kids looking for fun?
