30 years ago, a marketing representative sent the first spam. He managed to deliver the unsolicited e-mail bulk message to every West Coast computer on the Arpanet.
The anti-spam body, Spamhaus, announced that almost 90 percent of all e-mail is in fact spam and 80 percent of all spam is delivered from about 200 people worldwide.
The term "spam" was inspired from the Monty Python sketch, where in a restaurant, which offered only processed meat, several Vikings sang "Spam, lovely spam, wonderful spam."
