Colombia Accused of Exaggerating Chavez-FARK link

Leading academics from U.S. research centers and various universities, including Harvard, have claimed that the government of Colombia has distorted information captured from FARC guerrillas to smear Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

A statement released by the group stated "In the first round of media coverage of the event, significant problems of inconsistency surfaced precisely as a result of the gap between Colombia's exaggerations and what the documents actually say."

Interpol is poised to make an announcement on the contents of the documents but the academics claim that "independent analysis" shows that the government of Alvaro Uribe "has substantially exaggerated their contents, perhaps for political purposes."

This makes no sense... Are they just guessing? Or do they plan on proving Colombia wrong?

  No surprise

All exaggerate to serve their purpose. It has been happening since the beginning of time in all matter of things, politics is no exception.

I'll make sense of it for you ...it's not really that difficult when you live in the real world ..

take a deep breath

Harvard Intellectuals and top class academics don’t tend to use expressions like “lying through their f*****g teeth" in public discourse nor do they say things like “the US and Colombia have absolute no credibility in this matter any more and the accusations are a joke”. What they tend to do is say things like the Colombian government “has substantially exaggerated their contents” and release statments like this one .
Venezuela doesn’t have to prove anything, the e-mails are on Greg Palast’s website for all to read, hop over there and have a look for yourself , then come back and show me where they even hint at any serious collaboration between the Venezuelan government and the FARC support.

sorry for the double post ...still might help you to grasp the concept if you read it twice .

I mean if you couldn't understand it straight off the mark ... I have my doubts

So in order for this article to make sense I have to do research? That is to much for me to grasp.. Nations funding guerrilla parties is not some huge shocking idea... Its the only way to disrupt there enemies while saving face... They learned it from the KGB, ISI and CIA... Not that I even care about this stuff... I just find the article funny, they make a claim without backing it up.. It is not an attack on you Chavez you don't have to take it so personal lol.

Made sense to me without having to do research. But then I try to reserve expressing my opinions to things I have some minor understanding about.

Don't feed the troll. You consistently make yourself look dumb. Don't post the first reactionary response that pops into your head. Hugo just got tenure at his local community college and loves to bat around 17yo metalheads to make himself feel better. You should probably ask how HE would FIX the problems instead of constantly saying "that sucks it's all Bush's fault". Anyone can do that.

@Hugo shame on you for believing anything that comes from the evil US... unless it serves your purpose. I think the tinfoil is wearing out on your hat.
