Obama's Health Care Plan is 'HillaryCare' Says McCain

A good chunk of time spent in McCain's town Hall Meeting Thursday was spent explaining the differences between Obama and himself, Obama's health care program being the most strongly denounced.

"My friends, we've seen this movie before," McCain said. "It was called 'HillaryCare' back in 1993, and we're not going to do it again. We're not going to have the government take over the health care system in America."

Obama's Health care plan would cost between $50-$65 billion a year, and would only mandate coverage of children, not adults. McCain also denounced partial birth abortion, and showed support for stem cell research.

  Pffft

McCain is just another 16th century dinosaur. Why can't Republicans enter the 21st century? And what in the hell is wrong with 'HillaryCare' (whatever that is)? If the people had listened to her in 93 they might have had better health care today.

  i agree with mccain

the government should NOT take over healthcare but find ways to make it affordable for everyone not make it free and completely take it over.

lets find ways to lower the prices, lets do this the smart way for a change. instead of socializing everything

  i just don't get

why people have a problem with government backed health care. a quick glance at wikipedia:

"Virtually all of Europe has publicly sponsored and regulated health care. Countries include Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal,[4] Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom."

obviously it couldn't work here...

  NEITHER plan will work

Neither plan supported by the candidates will work. Both are seriously flawed. If the government doesn't take over the system, not everyone will be covered. If it does take over an existing system, it will be bloated, expensive, and universally loathed. The only real solution is to readjust our expectations of what a national system should truly offer, and create a modified, universal system. Then those with extra money, and the desire, can purchase additional private coverage. It's not neat and clean, but what we have today would fail miserably.

You know what I meant. You are just being arrogant. 'HillaryCare' is a derogatory right-wing term meant to demean Hillary Clinton. The Republicans determined when she was First Lady that she should remain 'barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen baking cookies.' They despised the fact that she was a strong female leader that could get things done. She had a good health care plan that should have been implemented.
