Animal Sanctuary Rescues Dogs that were Trained to Rape

Diane Sue Whalen and Donald Roy Seigfried were charged with felony crimes against nature after 150 video tapes of Diane performing sex acts with the dogs were found. The two dogs; Buddy and Lucky will taken to Utah and will not be euthanized.

The Best Friends Animal Society is the largest animal sanctuary in the U.S. After the dogs make the 1000 mile trip from Oklahoma to Utah, they will be put up for adoption. Initially the dogs were to be put down because they had been trained to rape.

The dogs have been neutered and examined by a veterinarian who found them to be adoptable. The sanctuary cares for up to 2000 animals, mostly dogs and cats. Animals that aren't eventually adopted live at the sanctuary permanently.

Ick. Just ick.

The "Disturbing Content" indicator is used in a few titles but maybe we should also employ "Creepy, Yucky, Eeeewwww".

The more time I spend on SN, the more I'm convinced that 'Normal' covers a smaller portion of the general populous than I would've figured. Some people are up to some really dark things.

  Some people should be....
euthanized, If all they can do is abuse, what other innocent would this trash corrupt? It just does not bear thinking about.
  by: captainJane     07/23/2008 07:34 PM
  I wonder
if anyone asked of the animals enjoyed it?

I mean really it's a crime only because people consider it strange. Honestly, I consider it strange. But thats no reason to outlaw it. I also consider Homosexuality to be strange, and people who have fish as pets. It doesn't mean its wrong.. Just not what I think of as normal.

If the animal is -not- enjoying it then its abuse, of course, in my mind.

Note: do not look up the woman.

"Note: do not look up the woman."

That might as well read: "Pssst. Hey, Syl. Look up the woman."

NOW I'm traumatized even more. *shudder*

Yes, I know it's my own fault for googling her.

  @ Kroww
Lets be serious now...
Any sex with an animal or anything else besides a human being is pretty sick.. you might consider homosexuality to be strange but its with two humans that consent to it

dogs are pets not sex toys!
  by: livelaughlove   07/23/2008 09:15 PM
I had to do the google search myself and it wasnt pleasant.
  by: livelaughlove   07/23/2008 09:19 PM
Did anyone see if the dogs consented or not? The topic reading 'trained to rape' seems to indicate not only were they consenting, but quite excited and emphatic about it.

The vibrator was also just a back massager - Its a massager not a sex toy!
  by: Kroww   07/23/2008 10:36 PM
Suppose the dogs had the ability to consent...

"Buddy, Lucky. We are going to give you two options. Either keep your manhood and be put to death because human beings decided to use you for their pleasure. Or be castrated and transported to a state where you will have to also repress other natural canine urges whenever local missionaries knock on the door. It's your choice!" Sounds like another great storyline for Pixar.

  It's Sex
The only thing different is that they use animals, who are somewhat endowed with phallus that look like humans.
In Sweden these acts were dimmed legal until as recent as this year..
Josephine Napoleons lover was known to like horses, in Brazil you can go to local video rental and rent a flick of your choice. An eel, snake, dogs, pigs, horses and donkeys. Some of the major Brazilian porn stars have also been known to act in bestiality movies, and who can forget Linda Lovelace in her memoirs she wrote, " I went to Mexico to join in a competition amongst porn stars to have sex with a donkey and whoever lasts the longest wins $1000."!! She claims she couldnt handle it and felt sick after watching a girl bleeding profusely.

Sorry to be graphical, but reality is, we as human beings can not curb human sexuality no matter what.

Morality is in the mind of the beholder
Where do we even get the idea of a moral compass or standard that says only so far is good and anything past that is bad? Religion? The (subjective)common good? This story disturbs me because my moral compass is aligned with Christianity. But learning from reading posts like isuzu's, if a person doesn't hold to that ideology...who can say they're wrong. Is it likely that as this (possibly) becomes more common that it could eventually bring bestiality uncomfortably close to society? even to acceptance....hhhmmmmm
...I'm just sayin.

A bit of a touchy subject
It doesn't take long to find this stuff online but I get my entertainment elsewhere.

Whenever this topic comes up they say "The animals were abused". As a teenager we had a dog that would mount and hump anything on a regular basis. That could be embarassing as hell as there was always the Look At That Thing factor. To sum it up I'll refer to what Craig Fergusen had to say on the topic on his talk show one night - it wasn't so much what he was doing on your leg but the look on his face while doing it...
  by: mcink2   07/24/2008 02:57 AM
I don't think religion has as much to do with it as some might think. I'm a Germanic Heathen and I find this disturbing simply because, as as mentioned by others, animals cannot give consent. We don't condone bestiality in my faith, but there's no specific "don't do that" in any of our teachings. More like the cultural "yuck factor". It's against human nature and against the nature of the animal. You don't need religion to teach you that.

This is unquestionably animal abuse. The president of the Central OK Humane Society has said that she has encountered one other bestiality case and described the dog in that previous case as "emotionally shattered".

I feel bad for the dogs.

I also feel this will never be societally acceptable behavior in the US because of the "cultural yuck factor" combined with the consent issue.

  by: morgora     07/24/2008 03:02 AM
But are these dogs emotionally shattered?

Maybe the other one was and these aren't. Maybe they -gasp- enjoyed it.

Maybe the emotional shattering of the first dog was a broken heart form being taken away from its 'mate.'

This is, as read, unquestionably -not- animal abuseexcept in the eyes of people who don't think outside a certain moral compass.
  by: Kroww   07/24/2008 03:20 AM
who says animal can't give consent. A dog would not keep returning to those people without biting if it did not give consent. A cat would not jump on your lap unless it gave consent.

  by: Kroww   07/24/2008 03:22 AM
  Avoiding the consent argument...
...I'm glad to hear that whether the dogs' last home was pleasant for them or not, they'll get to live out their days. Too few dogs trained to do bad things are so blessed.
  by: MomentOfClarity     07/24/2008 03:34 AM
exactly... you commented
"We don't condone bestiality in my faith, but there's no specific "don't do that" in any of our teachings."

This thing; be it faith or concern for cultural etiquette, influences what you believe and thus how you will personally act. My 'thing' is Christianity. But what about Kroww's point of view or the points made by isuzu? These people in Brazil(from example) still have a 'thing'. But their thing allows bestiality. America by in large 'used' to have many 'things' that are now socially acceptable.

Did no one else notice the name. You'd have thought after being practically eaten by the lion he'd have given up on animals.
  by: barryriley   07/24/2008 01:00 PM
is interesing that even dogs can be trained to rape.
  by: vizhatlan     07/24/2008 02:57 PM
Most dogs will hump anything, just le them do what they want to do.
  by: mcink2   07/24/2008 03:03 PM

scrolling down the info it says "Bestiality: Still legal in Florida"
...please say it ain't so

so since its not OKay in OK, these 'dog lovers' should've been in Florida and this wouldn't have been news.

  Sexual urges...
anyone who gets the urge to copulate with an animal or child are fiendish, the fact they get their kicks from exploiting like this leaves me feeling nauseous.
Thankfully I have never encountered such filthy specimens in my life and I hope I never will!

what is the safest thing to do
when a Doberman starts humping your leg?

Let him finish.

I wonder if bacon bits had a part in this???
  by: ONTIME   07/24/2008 08:45 PM
First of all, yuck. Second of all, if they were "trained to rape", yet they were having sex with
her, and she was charged for making them have sex with her, how is that "rape"? Wouldn't
it be more that they were trained to have sex with a person who wanted to have sex with
them? Sorry if the source has more on this - I was too lazy to read.
by: Mister crank     07/24/2008 09:08 PM
please put quotation marks around 'trained to rape' as it was a quote from the source.
kthx bai
  by: crosimoto     07/25/2008 01:12 AM
  "Rescues", "Rape"??? please.
I don't blame people if they think this is gross but come on, get real here, the dogs had to be "rescued"? what a joke. They didn't need to be rescued from anything.

If they were little tiny dogs then maybe, but obviously these were large dogs if they were "trained to rape".

First of all, haven't any of you people ever seen a dog become horny and try to hump a persons leg or even try to hump a person who's bending over? You can obviously see their erection. And I guarantee you that if that person being humped was naked the dog would try to penetrate.

Now I do not agree with human men raping animals or when small little animals are being used. That's abuse and I don't like it. That is wrong.

But I also find it so ridiculous when people say that large dogs are being sexually abused by a woman or that horses are being sexually abused by a woman. What!? Are you serious!? Are you kidding me!? You mean to tell me that a dog that weighs just as much as a woman or maybe more or that a horse that weighs over a ton is the victim of the sexual caresses of a 120 pound woman?!?! If anything I think it would be the other way around!

Think people.

Indeed, but I personally know two women who have had sex with dogs. I suspect it's a lot more common than we think.

Ilook for th follow-up story where we hear of a dog going 1000 miles to get back to where these people moved them. I mean, what was the point of taking them to Utah? Adopt them out to a nice Mormon family with lots of women?
  by: biggfredd   07/28/2008 01:47 PM
Did the dogs consent to having thier nuts cut off?

Someone explain to me how training a dog to copulate is different from training them to pull sleds, bite criminals, guide blind people, or the miriad of other things we require dogs to do for us. Does the dog who goes out in freezing weather to retrieve ducks for his "owner" give his or her consent?

Sure, sex with dogs is not everyone's cup of tea. I personally find christianity offensive (ok I find ANY religion offensive), but don't see why I should be able to keep others from being religious.

The real issue is whether or not getting a male dog to screw a human female is abuse of the male dog. I just don't see it as "abuse". Let me ask all those self righteous one other there - how do you think sperm is collected for artificial insemination? Ya, you got it, the male animal gets jerked off.

Exactly why were the dogs castrated? What a bunch of bull. Where did the dogs sign the surgical consent form?
