"Dead" Man Wakes Up in Morgue

19-year-old Mange Ram, a victim of the stampede at the Naina Devi shrine in India on Sunday, woke up in the morgue as doctors got ready to perform his autopsy. He said "When I woke up, I was in the middle of a row of bodies waiting for post mortem."

"My throat was parched and I asked for water. Towering over me the doctors and nursing staff at Anandpur Sahib Civil Hospital looked dazed. They must have been surprised to see a dead man come alive like that," he added.

One doctor on the pilgrimage said most people weren't checked to see if they could be saved saying "People were dumped quite haphazardly into trucks without following any procedure or checking if they were alive."

150 people died in the stampede.

ASSESS this news: BLOCK this news. Reason:
149 people died :P

Maybe less if there are other people like this man. I wonder if they then proceeded to check the remaining bodies to see if they were all dead too.

150 people died in the stampede...
as TWeaKoR has already said, just how many were actually dead.

Sickening no one even examined them before carting them off.

Sure, 150 people "died".

  for arguments sake
let's say that 142 were killed in a stampede and 7 or 8 were killed when they were buried alive or cremated.

I think you're all missing the point
Hell is full and the dead are walking the earth. I've got a lovely mesa in Wyoming all picked out. enough food and water for me and 30 "living" people for at least 4 years.

Up to 28 of you are welcome to come along.

BYOB, Entry will be denied for anyone with human bite marks or a lack of pulse.

I'll be the heavily armed one in the full body armor. Oh, and the one who knew that the last "B" in "BYOB" means "bullets".

Rock on sister. You get the cabin with the best view. I'm not being generous. You're on point.

Bah! Everyone knows a crowbar is the best weapon against zombies and head crabs!

  Bring out your Dead!!
Reminds me of the scene in Monty Pythons Quest for the Holy Grail.
Guy yelling "Bring out your Dead!! Bring out your Dead!!" Guy walks up to him with man over his shoulders and says he's got one. Supposed dead guy says he's getting better, I feel Happy!, ect... They club him over the head and throw him on the wagon with all the other bodies, guy gets paid. Classic stuff.

  A crowbar???
No way is that my first choice anti-zombie weapon. You put yourself at risk of a bite if that's your weapon of choice. If you have no long-range weapons, then a crowbar is awesome. Should have one around anyway as they're great all-purpose tools and good backup weapons.

^^thinks head crabs are funny when they're not on your face

  my choices

.30 .06 Springfield for your day to day, nuts and bolts zombie dropping. Ammo is common and not terribly expensive.

9mm semi-auto handgun(which ever you prefer). Ammo is common.

Small caliber revolve. .22 or .25 long. Again, very common and very cheap. They don't jam and can be fitted with a silencer so as not to tip off other zombies.

a supply of machetes. Cary one at all times. Cheap, Effective, Easily replaced. Also useful tool to have around.

cannot believe it this is an enormous luck that doctor would have chopped him at random.

  @zombie plans
Please make sure you read the all important Zombie Survival guide before you come up with your Zombie Attack plans....I'm just saying...useful info in that book (yes it really does exist! LOL My fiance and i have a copy at home. )
  by: ukitty24   08/11/2008 08:31 PM
I have my copy right here. Interesting thing is that many of the tactics in the manual are also applicable to homeless people.

  Zombie Survival Guide too simplistic.
Leave room in your survival plans, you never know what kind of zombies you're going to get. Just in case:

Long-range firearm - Brain-Based Reanimates (BBRs)
Machete/blade - BBRs or dismemberment jobs (i.e. Candarian demon-puppets)
Salt - Voodoo/slug-based zombies
Holy Water - Hell's zombies
Tasers - 245 Trioxin Reanimates (DON'T BURN THEM!)
Lawnmower - I don't have to explain if you know what I'm talking about.
  by: MomentOfClarity     08/12/2008 01:21 AM
Yeah, the trioxin undead are a problem but c'mon. We're talking about REAL zombies here. Let's leave the zombies based in religious myth out of the discussion.

I can honestly say that in my entire life I've never seen a "Hell Zombie"
