Priest Claims Huge Cannabis Crop in the Back Yard is a Gift From God

Bulgaria: A priest who claims that his back yard full of cannabis plants is a gift from God has been placed under surveillance by police. Father Cyril Papudov says that the plants are naturally seeded and that he does not cultivate them.

Police have long been suspicious of this 'God's gift of nature' and have arrested Papudov on seven occasions. It is hoped that the round the clock surveillance will put an end to the speculation one way or the other.

"He is a [priest] so… people don't want to think badly of him but frankly if someone has a huge crop of cannabis in their back garden it's highly unlikely they are just sitting there admiring its horticultural properties," said a police source.

  I believe

the priest is telling the truth.
I've seen cannabis plants grow in the wild in Poland, coincidentally, it was also near a church. I think that those plants are not illegal due to two possibilities:
1. They are a different origin, european and are not potent.
2. Growing in the wild, the females are easily pollinated by mails, thus not becoming potent.
If point 1 is not true then the seeds can be used to grow potent cannabis. As far as I know seeds are not illegal.

It is actually a misconception that seeded flowers are "no good."
There are cannabinoids released after fertilization that are not present in unfertilized flowers. The big deal with unfertilized flowers is the sheer quantinty of cannabinoids in the unfertilized egg sacks.

True hemp is useless as a drug. Smoke all you want, you might get cancer, but you won't get high.

  I'm not a smoker..

But I believe it should be accepted/legalized worldwide.

So if I convert to Christianity...

will God grace me with a back yard full of pot plants too?

I doubt it, but if you dedicate yourself to Demeter, maybe she'll oblige you. Then again, as a farmer you're already dedicated to Demeter, so maybe you should just try asking REALLY nicely...

You might want to throw a few prayers to Dionysus to.
In addition to being the god of wine he also supports
agriculture. HE might bless you with some good
quality stuff that accidentally happened to land in your
field.

He may be a priest, but he is still nothing more than a fallible human male.
