Man Impersonates Officer and Participates in Drug Raids With Police

A Washington, MO man who convinced police that he was a federal agent has pleaded guilty to 13 counts of impersonating an officer. Although Bill Anthony Jakob could receive up to 100 years in prison for his crimes, he will likely serve about five.

Jakob was so convincing to police that he was a federal drug officer that he was allowed to participate in elaborate drug raids while armed and even placed suspects in handcuffs at times.

In addition to the charges, Jakob was also convicted of posing as a contracting officer for the Army Corps of Engineers in a scheme designed to gain himself a promotion at his place of employment by making phony sales of locks.
