UK: 29-year-old Ian Williams has discarded his crutches and cast to sub in to score kick the winning goal for Pontlliw FC in their local derby with Pontarddulais Town. Williams was only on the bench to make up the numbers.
With the scores locked at 1-1 in the 85th minute Williams begged to be sent in and moments later blasted a shot into the top corner of the net with his injured foot. He threw up and was taken off in agony moments later.
"When the ball hit the back of the net I couldn't believe it... It was good to score the winning goal, but I think I'll wait until my foot's properly healed next time," said Williams.
