FTC Busts Largest Known Spam Operation

Chicago authorities have shut down one of the largest spam operations in the world, which created mass e-mails advertising prescription pills for "male enhancement."

The FTC worked in conjunction with authorities in New Zealand. More details will be released by the FTC at a press conference in Chicago.

Maybe I'll actually be able to check my mail without having to shift through 50 Viagra and Cealis spams first. (Yes I have a spam blocker but they still get through)

  @Jaded Fox
I have found that using gmail to retrieve my pop3 mail, which sorts spam with Postini, has reduced my spam to near zero. Postini catches 95% of the spam and gmail gets the rest. I actually enjoy getting my e-mail again.

I can't believe there is anyone stupid enough to order anything from these sites. The pills are fake and the boner boosters don't work.

This line gave me a chuckle:

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating"

I don't believe it for a minute.
