Wal-Mart Scams Customers that were Scamming Them

Three men from Mexico were arrested after attempting to return a purchase made at a Wal-Mart store located in Phoenix, Arizona. The men complained to Wal-Mart employees that instead of being sold a laptop, they were sold an empty box.

Wal-Mart store employees, believing that the men were attempting to scam the store, opted to call the police. One of the three individuals ran from the scene when the police arrived, discarding his credit cards in the process.

The three men were arrested after the police recovered the credit cards and discovered that the cards were forgeries. Later, the Wal-Mart store employees discovered that they did indeed sell the three men an empty box without a laptop inside.

Evidently so >_<

They bought a laptop computer with a stolen card, go home, see that there is no laptop inside then go back to the store to complain.

  Think about it...
They bought the laptop. Took it home and took it out of the box. Tried to return the empty box saying they got jipped. I have sold plenty of laptops for walmart, and i have to tell ya... no one is THAT stupid.. the boxes can't be THAT light. Even the sleekest and lightest of new-fangled technology still adds weight to a cardboard box.

More than likely, but not in the source, is someone returned something the approx. weight of the laptop back in the box, say like a big book or something else to add weight to make the buyers think there was a laptop in there. I know that's what happens during Best Buy horror stories and the like.

this story reminds of one of the stupidest thing i ever done in my life.. i bought two brand new spankin' laptops from this guy who i met in the streets... long story short, i went home with two empty boxes, guy was clever enough to put a book into those boxes and i was stupid enough not to check what was inside.. 250 for each box.. lol
