McCain to Withdraw from Campaign

Joe McCain, brother of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, has withdrawn from campaign activities after he called 911 over a traffic jam then proceeded to curse the operator, saying "(Expletive) you," then proceeded to hang up the phone.

He apologized, saying that the 911 call is "the biggest mistake I will ever make in my life at least in politics". This is the 2nd apology this month for Joe, the first being when he called Alexandria and Arlington County, Va., "communist country".

McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds had this to say: "Joe recognizes his mistake and has apologized. We are moving on”. Joe McCain clarified that the decision to step aside from the presidential campaign was his and his alone.

You're yet another one I will have to get for this. :) Ha-ha.

You're nuts if you've cursed out someone on the phone or said something mean about a country?
Man, we all must be loony then.

And just because my brother is a 16 year old emo about ready to drop out of high school because hes a low life who doesn't get any discipline from my parents, doesn't mean that I was the same.
Or how about my parents? They were both meth heads, does that mean I will be? Hell no.
I think the same can be said for everyone. (Of course I'm not saying McCain would be good, but to get that from his brother seems as silly as bringing up Obama's preacher.)

Misleading, not particularly in a bad way. I think misdirection is a great art form for mass media.

I'd say nuts more on the lines of calling 911 to ask about a traffic jam. 911 is not 411. It puts Joe right up there with people who call 911 because a fast food restaurant gets their order wrong.
  by: vash_the_stampede     10/26/2008 10:20 PM
Thanks absolutely right.
  by: isuzu     10/27/2008 12:11 AM
LOL yeah right.
"city and state please"
"Yes, I'd like to know about the traffic jam in Portland Oregon"
"I'm sorry ma'am, what number did you want?"
"I would like to know why there is such a huge traffic jam in Portland Oregon"
"I'm sorry what listing are you looking for?"
"I don't know... Can you tell me your city and state please?"

While calling 911 isn't the smartest idea, it makes a hell of a lot more sense than calling the yellow pages on your phone.

Unless 411 in some states means "use us like google" instead of "what phone number would you like?"

The point is, 411 is for informational requests. He called 911 asking about a traffic jam, i.e. an inquiry.

411 = For Information
911 = For Emergencies

Joe McCain doesn't know the difference... =(

  Uninteresting story masquerading as meaningful one
I really don't care what the family members of our lords do, they reflect not on their character. Or marital relations.

  Idiotic headline
If you guys support explicitly misleading headlines like this ("McCain" implies John McCain don't play the word game douchebags) then I can't see why I'd ever want to take any of these "reports" seriously. Nor would I ever want to report here if you respect false headlines and actually praise them over more honest ones. Here would be an honest headline "A McCain to withdraw.." or "McCain's brother to withdraw..." In many countries people are specifically referred to by their last name, and in America, politicians are too. McCain's brother isn't running, therefore this is a lie. Just pointing out why you Sociialist can't even begin to have credibility.
