Castro Prefers Obama

Fidel Castro gave his opinion on the electoral candidates in the US today saying he left his opinions till this late stage so “no one would have time to say I wrote something that could be utilised by the candidates in their campaigns”.

Castro praised Barack Obama however did not endorse either candidate. He said “Without a doubt, Obama is more intelligent, cultured and level-headed than his Republican adversary”.

Castro said “McCain is old, bellicose, uncultured, of little intelligence and not healthy,” saying if McCain were victorious “the danger of war will increase and the opportunities for peoples to move forward will be reduced."

  Not a typical endorser

but Castro knows what he is talking about. I bet the embargo will eventually be lifted under Obama. Cuba is our neighbor and if we make things better for them, then maybe so many Cubans will stop coming here.

  Not healthy....

What does it say when a man who can barely stand under his own power calls someone else "not healthy"

It makes him a man who has been there, is there and will be gone due to the same.

It doesn't mean, he has no capacity to make a rational statement which is the case now.

He started very intelligently, to reserve his comments until the last day, so as not to awaken a sapped ass.

If Dick would have been intelligent enough, he would not have made that stupid blunder of aligning with J.McCain at this moment in time.

Castro makes absolute sense and I think its time GITMO gets closed, Embargo gets lifted, however, I would hope Cuba doesn't become a cesspool full of crime after the fact.

I think you read that a little wrong. I'm pretty sure brin was making the point that if Castro says you're unhealthy, you're pretty damn unhealthy. But then again, I may have been the one to read it wrong.

Can endorse who he wants but the embargo will not go until he's dead.

But these "endorsements" are troubling. The other world leaders see him as a means to controll the US Govt. I.E. he's a pushover. With the Dems controlling all branches our .govt is a pawn to the worlds whims again.

Happy 5th of November, I bet your 4th was amazing as was mine.

I take it you mean that we will no longer go to war with any country that has even a minor difference of opinion? Correct, we will no longer play the bully that the rest of the world is tired of.
