45-year-old Woman Accused of Bumping Uglies with 16-year-old Boy at Treatment Center

Joplin, Missouri resident Jana Carter, 45, has turned herself in to the local authorities amid charges that she had consensual sex with a 16-year-old youth while working as a supervisor at the Scott Greening Dependency Center in Joplin.

Carter is now charged with statutory rape. The offenses allegedly occurred from from October 10th through October 19th. The center where the incidents allegedly occurred houses all males and has no video surveillance.

Director Larry Black told the media, "She came in very clean in terms of references and background checks," noting that she no longer is employed at the facility. Carter is being investigated for similar incidents involving three others as well.

It will be another "suspended sentence", such as what most females get for screwing underage boys.

Ironic that, even in this forum, were it the other way around - the reaction is usually the likes of "cut off his balls".

thinks, sexual orientation charges are simply overrated. If the so call victim is under 14 years of age, I can say, OK!! Victim may have had been bamboozled into something they did not understand what were they doing.

After 15-17, they are completely aware of their actions and know the consequences, unless they are (blonde).

creating a victim out of male 16 years old is simply sending an unfair message as an example.

The only time a 15-17 years old is a victim, is when they are coerced, drugged, raped, intoxicated, or bullied into having sex without their consent. Otherwise a warning and set free should be the norm fro the first time offender.

You can never be too lenient for or against, in these kinds of issues.

While I agree with you, especially about young males - sex is ALL that's thought about - my beef is the double standard that will more than likely prevaile in this case as well.

Laws should be changed if anything, but the law is as is, for now, and should be adhered to no matter which sex was the adult.

If an adult female gets BS sentencing (along with usually NOT being put on the sex offenders list) from screwing a 16 year old boy, than so should the adult male with a 16 year old girl. But that isn't how it works.

The boy is 16, hes got a terminal illness, ummmm so what? He had a little fun, people get too caught up with trying to save their life and in turn make their last few months a living hell. I for one am glad he got some.

Laws in some countries allow 16 years old as a consenting person, male or female.

In many 3rd World nations life expectancy is 45. Then question is, when do they have children and watch them grow?

This window to the world (Internet) has made many of us impervious but, save our own backyards.

We only conclude whats best for us and we forget the rest of the world is not so privileged.

Sexual deviancy is not limited to man. Women are as charged as their male partners only less violent
physically, psychologically they commit atrocities just as, if not worst.

Recently Canada changed its laws, in respect to consent. http://www.parl.gc.ca/...

Here in USA depends on the state. Cant buy alcohol before 21, can act in porn movies at 18, at 17 you can be ALL YOU WANNA BE. THE ARMY... LOL

Now thats screwed up. You cant drink, but you can be a pervert and legally go to a war and kill!!

I know it's all taboo these days when it comes to

double standards...

but lets face it boys are boys and girls are girls.

it doesn't matter what happens, they're very different creatures. So what's okay for one may be bad for another - that's not as terrible a thought as some people woul;d have you believe!!

Lol, it said something about if you are over 10 and there is less then a two year gap the two people then it can be used as an defense against statutory rape.

  Watch...

There is a South Park episode called 'Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy' - it's definitely worth watching as it has a fantastic portrayal of the double-standards that appear in this sort of situation...

To quote..

'We've got to find this lad and give him his 'world's luckiest b*stard' medal right now!'

The statutory rape charge is daft...but the betrayal of trust in the position is what should be illegal.

Its hard not to be sexist

When I was 16 I would have loved someone to "show me the ropes". In fact it was a fantasy that pursued me for the bulk of my teen years.

That said, I would pretty much freak if my 16yr old daughter was getting it on with a 45yr old guy in a treatment center which I paid for their "services".

For the record don't have a 16yr old daughter or son, I'm just saying...

The age of consent is 16.

I don't see the point in it being any higher than that, it doesn't prevent kids from having sex, it just means more of them are technically criminals for doing it when they aren't meant to. You could raise the age of consent to 25, you'd still get 13-year-old girls getting pregnant.

  Man I wish...

Man I wish there would have been woman like this when I was a 16. As long as she was a decent looking 45 years old, I wouldnt have complained or turned her in either.
