Cardinals Soar over the Falcons

The Arizona Cardinals showed the Atlanta Falcons that they meant business in the first NFL playoff game of 2009 by outscoring them 30 to 24. Rookie sensation Matt Ryan contributed to the Falcons' loss by turning the ball over three times.

Arizona finished the regular season 9-7, which was good enough to finish first in the dismal NFC West and thus give them an automatic playoff berth. Before this game the Cardinals hadn't been to the playoffs in the decade.

The Cardinals will either have to play the New York Giants or the Carolina Panthers, depending on the outcome of the game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles.

  They better hope

for the Panthers. I feel that the Giants will eat them up. Kurt Warner has had a great season and I would like to see them go as far as they can.

  The Panthers

will destroy them. They already beat them once, and they are a better team now then they were then. I hope the Panthers play the Cards though. I'm a Panthers fan btw :)
