The Fat Lady has Sung, it’s Franken by 225 Votes

The Canvassing Board has finished opening 952 absentee ballots and Al Franken is now ahead by 225 votes. As expected the improperly rejected ballots greatly favored Franken.

Even if Coleman’s claim that 130 votes for Franken were double counted were to be substantiated it would not be enough for a Coleman win. Of the absentee ballots counted, 53.7% were for Franken, 34.1% were for Coleman and 12.4% were for others.

It appears that any attempts by Coleman to get more absentee ballots counted would only make things worse for the Coleman campaign.

i could really give 2 shits about who wins, i dont live in that state anyways.

my arguement is that if coleman started finding thousands of votes that were ALL in his favor with dates stamped 2 days before the election you would be crying neocon this and neocon that..

so grow up.

  its all good

when ballots just appear out of thin air that just happened to be missed and not counted previously.

on top of that miraculously all in favor of franken..

wow isnt that a dandy?>

@cray0la: if you don't care who wins..

..why are you on this thread and other Al Franken threads?

I wouldn’t worry too much about poor little Normy

He won’t spend a day on the unemployment line with 10 million other Americans. I’m sure the job offers to become a lobbyist for Big Oil are already showing up in his mail box. After all, he did make $billions for them, the least they could do is return the favor and I’m sure they will. Hell, the job offer was probably made years ago in exchange for Norman voting for billons of $$$ in tax breaks for an industry that was showing record profits. This turd is the scum of the earth. Bye bye Norman, you won’t be missed.

Congratulations Minnesota, congratulations Senator Al Franken, the bonds of tyranny have been shed, once again “We the People” have been heard and once again "We the People" will be represented in Congress.

This calls for a celebration Minnesota style, Oktoberfest in January while eating lutefisk and ice fishing in the nude. Viva la Revolution!

"wow isnt that a dandy?>"

Sure is! What a great day for the Democrats.

I'd listen to you if you were equally concerned about any election being tampered with, but you've shown that you only care about fairness when it's a Republican who stands to lose.

Do you honestly believe that putting a democrat in office is a "revolution"?

  by: Trevelyan   01/04/2009 05:59 PM
  Whooo Hooo!!!

Take that Crayzola. I know you secretly wanted him to lose - no matter what you say.

Now run back to your conservative messaging board and tell them how ANOTHER Democrat picked on you again today.

Go FRANKEN!!!

  By the way!

On a really funny note, check this out.

"Al Franken reports on Bill O'Reilly's attempt to slander Senator Joe Biden from Delaware. This is pure evil and disgusting yet it is typical O'Reilly "

At least watch the first 4 minutes, it's hilarious. Poor idiotic Bill O'Reilly.

You need to learn how to read. I never once mentioned anything about party affiliation in my comments or in this post. I did express my joy in being represented by a man of the people instead of a corporate shill. We are already suffering under the auspices of another corporate lackey Gov. Pawlenty and he should be more than enough for one state to have to endure. I support the man/woman, not the party. If a person is true to the constituents I could care less about their party affiliation. Since Senator Al Franken has proven himself to me over and over on Air America as a representative of “We the People” I am proud to have him as my Senator. Viva la Revolution! :P

  So

Among the most powerful Americans right now, just to re-cap, are Barack Obama, supposedly the most liberal human being ever to exist, along with Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton and now Al Franken. And of course, they pal around with the likes of Al Gore and Michael Moore.

Just thought I'd give cray0la some nightmares with that observation ...

It was farting.

  As I Said ... It Ain't Over ...

... till the fat lady sues!

"The state Canvassing Board on Monday gave Al Franken the victory over Coleman by a 225-vote margin -- 1,212,431 votes for Franken to 1,212,206 votes for Coleman."

but, but, but ...

"Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, a Democrat, told FOX News that he has no doubt that the five-person Canvassing Board, which he led, properly counted the ballots and Minnesotans chose Franken. But he agreed that the matter can only be resolved in the courtroom."

I'll get you, my pretty, and your 225 votes too!

So that means it could be weeks or possibly even months before either side can take a seat in Congress regardless of who wins. The matter will first have to be resolved by the court before Mr. Franken can be seated in Congress, while meanwhile, back on Sunnybrook Farm, Mr. Coleman is in the same limbo.
