The UK: Trying to Shoot Down a UFO Since the 1980s
UK: The official formerly of the Ministry of Defense's UFO project, Nick Pope, has revealed that the Royal Air Force has been trying to shoot down a UFO since the 1980s, so far without success.
e."There was a faction in the MoD who said 'We want to shoot down a UFO and that will resolve the issue one way or another.' We know of cases where the order has been given to shoot down - with little effect to the UFO," said Pop
The decision on whether a UFO should be fired on is based on whether the object is deemed to be posing a threat. The pilot is usually the one to make the judgment call.
By now you should have gathered that you are dealing with superior technology. Would you PLEASE stop trying to irritate the owners of said technology. Thanks.
Well, first thing's first, I don't believe that we're being visited. If there's life out there more intelligent than our own, they already know not to come see us.
However, if UFOs are really spacecraft from another galaxy, they've come light-years to see us, and our first reaction is to try and kill them?! It's utter madness.
When we manage to get into space to explore it would damned well serve us right if the first planet we discovered with life shot our spacecraft to pieces.
How such ignorant men have got into positions of command I will never understand.
Typical Human Behavior: We discover a UFO which we decide probably belongs to a technologically advanced alien race who could no doubt destroy us in the blink of an eye if we pissed them off, so what do we do? We shoot at it of course!
A race advanced enough to travel from somewhere else in time/space can't avoid being shot by beings barely able to leave the Earth? Were within years research time of having workable metamaterial cloaking technology. Now picture what E.T. is capable of....
That technology will progress to a certain point so we can blow up UFO's and confirm to off-world life that it's time to kill all humans. I don't think I'll ever understand large quantities of Europe/UK. Meh I bet the US tries to provoke alien doom as well.
Wouldn't it just make more sense to fire concentrated data packets and radio messages declaring peace, friendship and goodwill?
Or, if you want to be really conspiracy-theorist-loony about it, perhaps it's all a secret plan to make sure aliens don't make friends with us because the secret government would lose control! We're all dooooooOOOOoomed!
and it crashes right smack-dab in the middle of London, for everyone to see, so they can quit running around behind closed doors with each other like paranoid fraidy-cats.
All of a sudden, their will be lightning bolts strike the streets and all of a sudden, these HUGE spider things will rise up from beneath the ground and cities hellbent on destroying the planet. Theyll largely succeed and then we discover that in a bizarre change of fate that these 'things' can be destroyed by birds! What an anti-climax.
first off. ok if aliens do exist. why the hell dont they make themselves public? why dont they monitor and visit specific people. saying we are "_____" from "_____"
if aliens are so advanced how is they were shot down before? or at least chased after? their craft can go fast but our fighter jets at the time were able to chase some what. even get a few lucky shots.
why arent their ships gigantic? if it was an invasion i would imagine something bigger then a flying saucer is needed..
if ppl want to pull things out of their ass and make guesses then i could use star trek as a guide. * small ship travels around galaxy to collect data, it isnt a giant ship with an army on it, it travels around to collect data for the home planet* how else do THEY learn new things without traveling around and study the atmosphere.
when the day comes humans do the same, we will get shot at to. for all we know, earth is their mars.
If space-aliens are cruising around this planet, what makes anybody think that they would want to contact us? What makes anybody think that they have any emotions at all? In fact, what makes anybody think that they would have any concept of happiness, sadness, love, anger or fear at all? What makes anybody think that they have any interest in this planet at any level except minor curiosity? Would they have limited life-spans like humans? Or do they individually live for thousands, or even millions of years? If they've been here since the days of the ancient pharaohs of Egypt, as some suspect, what makes anybody think that this is not just their equivalent of a brief survey? Possibly they do not even age at all, and only die when they become ill or meet with a fatal accident.
Nothing at all dictates that they would be anything like us, physically, mentally or emotionally. They may have no concept of property ownership, in which case, they would have no concept of money. They may have only one land-mass on the planet that they come from, and no concept of harmful intent, in which case, they would have no concept of war, and may not even know that they are being fired upon with harmful intent. They may have no concept of a deity, in which case they may not have any concept of government.
Nothing at all dictates that they would have evolved in similar environment to ours, and hence they may have taken a completely different evolutionary path than ours. They may not need to breathe, in which case they would not be able to speak in the manner we do. They may not need to eat, in which case they may not have any digestive tract, and most likely no need for a tongue, teeth or even jaws. They most likely would not need two sexes to reproduce, in which case, they would have no need for genitals.
So many people ask, "Why have they not contacted us, if they are here?"
I ask, "What possible reason could they have for contacting us?"
