Woman Exchanges Swedish Monopoly Money for Danish Currency, Arrested Trying to do it a Second Time

Denmark: A 61-year-old woman has been arrested after attempting to exchange 8,000 kroner of Swedish Monopoly money for Danish currency. The previous day she had swapped 4,000 kroner in Monopoly money for the equivalent of $240.

According to branch manager Ulrik Feveile Nielsen staff at the Svendborg branch of the Nordea bank were more alert the second time round and summoned the police when she attempted the illegal exchange.

Once in custody the woman claimed that she wasn't to blame as she was being compelled to make the transactions against her will by somebody else.
