5½ Ft Poisonous Snake Eats 4½ Poisonous Snake, Smaller Snake Turns Around Inside and Crawls Out

Australia: Upon returning home from lunch recently South Gundagai resident Tony Barton observed a 165cm red belly black snake eating a 135cm brown snake. Both species are poisonous and black snakes often eat other species of snake.

After completely consuming the smaller snake the black snake sluggishly slithered away only to return to Barton's back yard a short time later. Barton, who had photographed the snake's earlier meal, again went out to take more pictures.

The mouth of the black snake opened and the brown snake appeared head first, having apparently turned around inside. It clamped down on the black snake's lower jaw and pulled it mucus-covered body out. Both snakes departed the scene shortly after.

I know, pics or it didn't happen

Well, the source has three moderately disturbing pictures of the incident. Not recommended for those who are a bit squeamish about snakes.

  Amazing

The most amazing part about this is that a snake eating a meal can make news and I can't. I've failed at life...

  Lesson here is

Do not live in Australia! That guy had not 1 but 2 large poisonous snakes in his backyard...yikes.

You know the economy is bad when a poisonous snake will eat another poisonous snake.
