Michelle Obama: Wax Statue

US First Lady Michelle Obama is to be honoured by the Washington DC Madame Tussauds museum, alongside J. Edgar Hoover and the Jonas Brothers, as well as her husband President Barack Obama.

The wax statue, which depicts a smiling Mrs. Obama, is due to be unveiled by the museum in March this year.

  Actually...

Michelle Obama is currently receiving alot of attention. Women seem to adore her, in the main, and she is being held up as an icon in much the same way as her husband is.

And I'm saddened by the shaking-of-the-fist 'he'd better' attitude. (Not to mention that when you say 'Obama' you are also referring to Michelle - so get specific, say 'Barack'). It's exactly the sort of thinking that he seems to have been trying to change.

People all want some big turnaround, but where is the attitude of 'with his help we'll turn this situation back around'?

At least you have some hope in the US. Over here in the UK we're stuck with a government we hate and a shadow government we hate just as much, and the third party we know is just going to do things even worse than the first two. We don't have any possible sunrise on the horizon, and our country's days ahead look bleak indeed.

I really do seriously wonder if I should go for public office.

  @mostra

Because, basically, when it comes to wax statues, Madame Tussauds can do whatever the hell they like.

  (now, I voted for Obama, but..)

The artist clearly missed some trademark features of Mrs. Obama:

1) The chronic look of super PMS
2) The lumbering jet jaw
