Spirit Airlines has begun an ad campaign using double entendres and humor to sell tickets. They have also started selling advertising space on flight attendant service aprons.
The new ad suggests that people will enjoy Double D's (Deep Discounts) and for you Hawaii travelers, MILF (Many Islands, Low Fare). Bud Light has purchased an advertising patch which is put on the aprons.
Although they have received good responses from passengers, the union is arguing that patches undermine a flight attendant's ability to cut drunken customers off. The patches may also be offensive to some employees.
