Nigerians Failed Rescue Attempt

Nigerian forces have failed to rescue a kidnapped Merseyside man. The armed forces leaders have maintained that the reports of a botched attempt to free the British citizen are absolutely fictitious.

Matthew Maguire is a 34 year old diver from Birkenhead and he was snatched by pirates in September 08.

A liberation group, The Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, have said that they have hidden Maguire deep in the jungle following the attempt to release him. Also confirmed is he was separated from a second British hostage held.
