Mount Redoubt in Alaska will erupt any day now. Seismic activity has been heavy, and there have been earthquakes every hour.
The last time this volcano blew was in 1989 during a 5 month stretch. At this time, air traffic was disrupted and the town of Anchorage and surrounding area was covered in ash.
Unlike the Hawaii volcanoes which have lava flow, Mt. Redoubt will explode. Built up gas pressure will erupt suddenly, shooting ash made of jagged pieces of rock and glass over miles into the sky.
