Skydive Instructor Dies During Tandum Jump

 

25 year old military soldier Daniel Pharr used his military skills to stay calm during his first skydive. Not because it was his first jump, but because his 49 year old instructor had a heart attack during the jump, as they were strapped together.

The instructor gave instructions as the plane climbed. They were the last to jump out of the plane. After talking back and forth Pharr realized that something was wrong with the instructor. Pharr pulled the right handle and avoided hitting a house.

One landed, Pharr gave CPR to the instructor, but he was later pronounced dead. This was a gift from his girlfriend. After this he wants to go again, but states "My family has told me I have to keep my feet on the ground."

Military experience was a factor here.
