Twenty-year-old Briana Bonds credits her hair weave with saving her life when it apparently stopped a bullet fired at her by her ex-boyfriend Juan Kemp. Kemp fired a barrage of bullets at Bonds while she was inside her car at a convenience store.
Kemp's shots knocked out the tail light and back window of Bonds' car but police at the scene discovered something more exotic: a bullet lodged in the back of Bond's hair weave. Apparently her hair weave stopped the bullet from penetrating her skull.
Minus having a headache, Bonds was unharmed and felt God had protected her. Kim Walton, owner of a hair salon, said it was the first time she heard of a weave saving a life. A patron of Walton's shop, Bonnie Walker, called the incident "a miracle."
