Local investigators in the Irkutsk region of Siberia say a woman in custody has confessed to killing, cooking, and eating her female friend. They were together drinking on March 5 when an argument ensued.
"Investigators have information to suggest the woman cooked pieces of her murdered friend and ate them," said Vladimir Salovarov of the Russian prosecutor's investigative committee.
Salovarov says an axe was used by the woman in the murder and that a nearby waste bin contained uneaten body parts from the victim.
