Body Too Big For Casket, Funeral Home Resizes Corpse

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The funeral home of Cave Funeral Services of Allendale had its funeral director license revoked after an incident where a corpse was cut up to fit into a casket.

The corpse, previously known as James Hines, was 6 foot 7 inches tall. In order to fit in the casket the funeral home cut off the leg between the calf and the ankle.

The Board of Funeral Service has fined Michael Cave, owner of the funeral home, $500 and also ordered him to pay the $1,500 for the police investigation. Cave was not available for comment.

  imagine the funeral

Widow: "This casket looks a lot smaller than my husband"

Director: "That's because the body shrinks by a foot and a half from the waist down after death."

Widow: "That makes sense."

If any member of your family has ever said, "Hey y'all, watch this!" and fell over dead, you might be a redneck.

  That's pretty stupid

Anyone care to explain how you're suppose to fit a huge person in a casket then? Bigger casket? Else I would say the cutting was logical.

Hey I'm sorry I can't bury your husband.
Why?
He's too big.
I'll sue for discrimination!
