A beef company in Hereford, Texas, has hit the ground as its idea of making an ethanol plant has gone bankrupt. Its plan of using cow manure to turn into fuel has not had a drop of success. Why? One might ask this question.
The sad truth is that it's only 95% built, and as was said above, has not produced a single drop of ethanol. "We wanted to be the renewable energy capital of Texas," says Sheila Quirk, executive director of the company.
After it was built (or almost built) it could not produce anything, and could not stay aloft. The plant cost $200 million to build, and is not worth roughly 1/10th of that. Shelia said "now - it's just a sad disappointment."
