ASSESS this news: BLOCK this news. Reason:
I am sick of Michael Jackson news...
but I thought this was too good to pass up. These people must have been some real losers. Killing themselves over the death of a singer they probably never even knew.

  Stand back and watch
Teacher: Ok children, we call this natural selection. Watch as these folk take themselves out of the gene pol to let more responsible and sane people procreate

The played this one up pretty well
There was almost no coverage whatsoever of the new "cap and traitor" taxes that passed the house due to Jackson taking the spotlight... CNN just had a blurb about it while it was in a vote.

Guess Michael Jackson is more important to some people pathetic lives than their own well being and livelihood... Sad how peoples priorities seem to work.

  "cap and traitor"?
That's the ignorant buzz phrase of the day. Soehow the right-wing is calling the 8 Republicans who voted for this bill traitors. Thinking Republicans are outraged over this term:
  by: Lurker     06/30/2009 05:57 PM
No Im using it in a different context. Everyone that voted for it is basically a traitor. More tax for us working stiffs while the environment suffers even more.

I know a scam when I see one and this is definitely a scam all the way.

I can't believe what some people will do when their hero dies. People did the same thing when Kurt Cobain died, I think even killed them self with a shotgun too, I am firm believer that Courtney Love helped him in some manner.

  No great loss there.

  I'm with Mr. Wright
If I have to sit another MJ story about nothing I'm going to off myself. lol
  by: kross10c   06/30/2009 07:47 PM
Isnt this the solution to the problem?
OK, OK, so Ive been hitting up 2nd hand stores n stuff to add to the the 'Bad' vinyl collection cus I know how people are, but these people are taking it a step toooooooooo far.
  by: AccessG     06/30/2009 08:20 PM
was his big admirer for the famou musician but not so much already that le me commit a suicide.
  by: vizhatlan     06/30/2009 09:11 PM
I love people like yourself that are so quick to judge others.
Anyone that commits or attempts to commit suicide due to the death of a hero obviously has an underlying condition leading up to the event. In other words, they are suffering from some sort of mental condition.

for those complaining about Michael Jackson news
At least it's not Britney Spears. That went on for almost a year. This is a refreshing change.
  by: John E Angel     06/30/2009 09:40 PM
Comparing Michael Jackson to Britney Spears is totally uncalled for, the man just died, have you no shame? :p
  by: silentrage   06/30/2009 09:46 PM
  John's right...
...this isn't yet as bad as SOME of the pop entertainment news we've had to endure. Cbuilding is also right, getting past how stupid it seems to off yourself because some guy you probably never met died, we should recognize these were probably fragile people with their own mental disorders.
  by: MomentOfClarity     06/30/2009 10:06 PM
  @ John
Just sad the news is all about his death. But you are right we could do with other news other than Britney Spears, more on the paparazzi getting done over please. :)

  @ Albino
no don't bother if it is the UK because that will be just as bad.
  by: captainJane     06/30/2009 11:52 PM
You're right, I was quick to judge those who killed themselves over the death of a "hero." Those people must have had some sort of mental disability.

However, I still say good riddance to them. Natural selection, you know. Typically its survival of the fittest, but in this case they were a threat to themselves. I am just glad they didn't bring anyone else down with them.
by: Mr. Wright     06/30/2009 11:59 PM
  I was
more shocked by the passing of Billie Mays. EVERYONE knew michael jackson was on deaths door. That guy couldn't make it through the day without using a wheel chair or wearing a surgical mask. Billie Mays was still in his prime.

Aside from that, I honestly don't get all the michael jackson hysteria. After being inundated with jackson crap, I watched a little of his performance, and ya he can dance well, but his songs don't do it for me. I don't get what makes him so 'great'

  "good die young"?
Ok, this is not the best time to use that phrase. Nor do I think these fans would do too well in a 'Balloon Debate'...

But the 'ha ha, Darwin Award, blah blah gene pool' statements are a little facile and old now.

Not everyone who deserves to stay in the gene pool makes it - and there are many undeserving ones who are still around today.

Yeah, they are idiots - but they've harmed no one, committed no murder, rape, robbery or war. They are a little pathetic - but don't really deserve to die.

'Scuse me while I go hug a ******* tree.

Ask Dave Chappelle.

  fan that big?
99.99% of theese fans prob never talked to MJ in person, How can you be that devoted???? Anyways If people are that stoopid then there is more oxygen for the rest of us to use....
  by: zortona   07/01/2009 03:31 PM
  Mental Condition is correct.
I'm going to have to agree with cbuilding on this one, for some people to have committed suicide over the death of Michael Jackson would have to be the effect of them having a mental condition.

I read about this somewhere, can't remember for the life of me though or I'd cite it, I believe they all have the same condition, idiocy.
  by: archbobert   07/01/2009 07:29 PM
Nothing mysterious about it. Its just Darwinism cleaning up the strays and culling the herd of the ones that will dilute the gene pool if allowed to breed.

Nature dispenses rough justice.

people that don't deserve to have their DNA in the genetic pool that is the human race. I applaud these people. They at least won't be having kids :-)
  by: meshuggahfan   07/02/2009 12:39 AM
Hey - I wonder if these people are going to appear on the Darwin Awards site?
  by: Framtonm   07/02/2009 09:24 AM
  Michaels not dead
Elvis faked MJ's death, put him in hiding and then beat the snot out of his female Planet of the Apes look alike @$$ for kissing Lisa Marie on MTV.
