Pet Python Kills Child

A 12-foot family pet python escaped its glass container during the night and strangled a 2-year-old girl. The owner stabbed the snake but the snake escaped. The 2-year-old was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived at 10 a.m.

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissioner noted that the pythons could grow to 10 to 12 feet in length and when they grow, sometimes, owners release them into the wild where they find comfort in the Everglades in Florida.

There has been record of a python that tried to digest an alligator but exploded due to the mass of its victim.

Thats why i stick with a dog

My dog can sleep right next to me and he doesn't try to strangle me in the middle of the night. Tho he does fart alot when i feed him people food. That is mans best friend! in the words of the doctor off of "THE WACKNESS" NEVER trust people who don't like dogs. IF you see someone who doesn't like dogs report them to the authorities immediately

I don't like dogs.. Too noisy, too smelly, and they know when you wear khakies that it will be enraging when they bury their face in your crotch and smear snot and spittle all over them.

  Let's blame the snake!

After all, it was acting like a snake, right?

  I say blame the child

blame everyone except the idiot who didn't have a secure enclosure for his predatory pet. And come to think of it who in their right mind would have a 12 foot snake in the same house as a baby?

  someone is making sense

i hate how everytime a reptile kills someone, people first reaction is "they are bad we should kill them cause it kills someone". Owner is clearly at fault for not providing a secure cage door they should use a locking lid so the snake couldnt push it open and get out, also it said te snake got away, did they ever find it? also it was probably not fed right because usually python's that are well fed aren't this aggressive towards people.

  Pythons? Dogs?

Personally I think it is not a person's fault they are not born a cat. Transmigration notwithstanding.
