Woman Claims Her Daughter Got Pregnant From Stray Sperm in Swimming Pool, Sues
Poland: Magdalena Kwiatkowska has launched a lawsuit against a hotel in Egypt she stayed at after her 13-year-old daughter fell pregnant. She is of the opinion that her daughter was impregnated by stray sperm in the hotel's swimming pool.
"The mother is adamant that her daughter didn't meet any boys while she was there. She is determined to go ahead with the case," said a source within the travel industry.
Sperm is surviving out of the body, in chlorine bleach and somehow slips inside the girl's suit among other areas to knock her up. I am stunned that there are not pool pregnancies all over the world with this magical fairy tale reasoning.

"Oh jeezus it's the ladies room...ladies use the toilet in there...what if you came on the seat and got the next lady that sat down pregnant.... LIKE YOUR MOM"
it has been documented to happen before. Virgin birth via sperm in the pool. It was a while ago that I read about that.
@jhax Of course sperm can survive outside the human body. Conception can occur outside the human body. What do you think IVF is? While chlorine should kill sperm, it is really a statistical problem and if the chlorine is not strong enough the chances of sperm surviving might drop from 1 in a 100 trillion to 1 in a million. And one in a million chances happen all the time.

Just because something is unlikely, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. If the girl is a virgin, it would add some evidence to her claim.
Even if the girl is found to be a virgin it doesn't mean she wasn't playing around and just not having actual intercourse. And also I haven't seen this mentioned how is she sure this happened at the hotel?

@walter3ca - The hymen can easily be broken without having sex, often whilst excercising. It is also possible that the girl uses tampons each month, they would break it. The whole thing about having to bleed the first time is complete crap, I didn't and I never even used tampons.
I wonder how much sperm needs to be in a swimming pool before it can impregnate you. When you dip your foot in the water to check the temperature and pull it out and the 'water' is stuck onto your foot, that might be a good time not to swim
Only one is required, but you would have to be very, very unlucky. As I said before, it comes down to statistics.

Of course, everyone is assuming that the pool is the same as nice clean American pools. Chlorinated, filtered, etc... Perhaps they didn't notice that it was Egypt.
It depends on the Hotel she went to, the more you pay the better the hotel will be. Egypt has lots of very nice 5-star hotels, those are not government owned so they are taken really good care of by their owners.
@story i think its dumb to think that this could happen from the pool, the sperm wouldnt survive the pool environment. What are the chances of this sperm of going straight to the vagina and getting thru her swimsuit and inside? this is crazy
There's no way. Maybe you read it but the story itself is complete BS. I'm not even going to address whether the sperm could survive in the pool but what are the chances it would go all the way to the uterus?? Zero. Also, you need a large, large number of sperm trying to infiltrate the egg from all sides in order to weaken it enough for one sperm to get in. That's why men with low sperm counts, who still are producing a large number of sperm, cannot get their wives pregnant. The chance of a stray sperm actually reaching and fertilizing an egg all by itself is zero.
Actually my scientific knowledge out does the fact you read a mass mail 15 years ago. Your anecdotal evidence and stubbornness on the other hand... does not.
I know many have already mentioned some of the reasons, but I have another to add; 1. chlorine
2. Distance.
3. I ran some tests, and I'm fairly sure that semen sinks in water. and this brings me to my great point.
4. Unless there was some guy ejaculating in the pool near this girl, there is no reason for semen to be anywhere near her in the first place. And ejaculation usually doesn't come so freely, as it were.
I don't remember why the subject came up, but a conversion arose where a woman I worked with mentioned that her dad picked up an STD from a toilet seat. I laughed and laughed.
I'm sure the hotel will be looking for a good defense attorney. Looks like you got it nipped in the bud. You should tell them that you'll do it for half the price of one of them high and might lawyers.
Yanno... if this lady really believes that her daughter can get pregnant from swimming in a pool, then I have some swamp land in Florida I can sell her! It's a really good deal too! Honestly!
