Health Care Reform Needed This Year, Say Hospitals, Pharmaceutical Companies and Private Insurance Providers

Even as lawmakers struggle to define what health care reform would look like in America, powerful lobbies including drug companies, health insurance providers, hospitals and the American Medical Association say reform is needed soon.

The economic playing field has shifted beneath the feet of the health care industry, as employer-sponsored coverage shrinks, individual policies become more expensive and private companies have increasing roles in public plans like Medicare.

President Obama said his opponents are trying to prevent health care reform "as a way to inflict political damage on my administration. I'll leave it to them to explain that to the American people," he said.

  Well

I won't believe any of them until I see something that will actually work and not something either rushed or just more hot air being blown up our asses.

A REAL plan needs to be brought out not just talks about pie in the sky wishes and dreams.

Did you ever stop and wonder why the drug companies, health insurance providers and hospitals are pushing for this "reform"? Because it's going to be GUARANTEED money for them. And do you think prices will drop? Heck no! Chances are they'll go up!

Furthermore, forced health care is going to kill a lot of businesses. A lot of companies are already struggling as it is. If this passes, you'll see a lot of businesses closing fast. Where are you going to get your health care then?

And the businesses that do survive are going to have to raise their prices on the products and services they sell just to be able to pay for the forced insurance, screwing you some more in the end.

And you know what else? They want to pass a law that will fine YOU $2,000.00 if you don't have insurance.

Finally, YOU are also going to have to pay for those that don't have insurance out of higher taxes, higher prices and

No matter how you look at it, the consumer gets screwed in the end (literally).

Look at this, then tell me that we don't need to take action as soon as possible:

  I will agree...

I will agree that the insurance in this country needs an overhaul, but forcing people to get insurance, fining those that don't and making the rich pay for free medical coverage for the poor is not the answer.

The answer is simple...make health care AFFORDABLE. Period.

Socializing it is a BAD idea, though.

  Quick; smokescre- I mean 'Reform' says: Insurers

Screaming for reform when the prospect Nationalized Healthcare smells of a diversion.

* It's an attempt to derail a concept they don't like with a similar sounding fake one.
* It's Coke-Lite.
* It's 'self-regulation'.
* Please don't do this "we promise to be good from now on"

When they've been swindling the public for decades, and only now talk of reform, it's INGENUOUS.

How much of this do you think os because they want to reform, and how much is because they're quaking in their pants right now.
