Australia: Michael McGurk, who was murdered in front of his 9-year-old son, had a tape that could 'bring down the government' and was threatening to release it, according to associates. His house and office have reportedly been ransacked recently.
The tape allegedly contains a long conversation implicating senior figures in the New South Wales government for bribery. According to the tape, which McGurk reportedly made copies of, favours had been granted to businessmen in return for payments.
Millionaire McGurk had been in a number of business disputes including one with the Sultan of Brunei which was reportedly recently resolved. He was suspected of a firebombing several years ago but never formally charged.
