Lesbian Teacher Jailed for Sex With a 15-Year-Old Girl
Helen Goddard, 26, has been jailed for one year and three months because of an affair with a 15-year-old girl. The music teacher was also banned for life to work with children and will be registered as a sex offender for 10 years.
The teacher admitted she befriended the girl after lessons and that she had sex with the girl at least six times, one of which during a weekend in Paris. The relationship lasted five months until an anonymous person reported it to the school.
...There would be a pic of the perpetrator at the source. All the teachers doing this these days are relatively hot. And just out of curiosity, why is the British English spelling of "pedophile" "paedophile"? Is it because she's a laesbian?
When a British person say's Paedophile the "ae" is the sounding for "ee", So we pronounce the word "peedophile" not "pedophile". So because some of the weird rules the English Language has, it's written "ae".
Actually I don't know why the brits write "Paedophiles", I suppose since the "ae" is spelled as a "e" it is just a lack of modernization of the word itself.

Because "pedophile" would be pronounced "ped-ophile" if it was spelled that way. Take the words "petal" or "pedal" the "pe" sounds like "peh" right? "pet" "ped" Add "ophile" to "ped". You see? Doesn't sound right does it?
"Paedophile" is the correct way to spell it in English. Just like "Mediaeval."
In America, most people say "peh" -dophile. It sounds right to us.
And in American English, the correct spellings are "pedophile" and "medieval." Since we have our own country, we get to make up our own rules! Just like Canada, Australia and New Zealand do.
but she looks kinda like a character from a Final Fantasy game, the young rebellious type who dresses a little bit like a cowboy and has 2 six-shooter katana blades. the kind you get in an argument with at the beginning of the story and you dislike him and then he gets in a fight with the headmaster of the Academy and decides to rebel and runs off on his own and steals the 7 Dragonshard Crystals and you have to chase him all over the world to catch him and get the crystals back, and you finally get him, but then he escapes after your airship crashlands on an unknown island and you don't see him for a long time until he comes back and joins your party at the end of disk 3.
Since the girl will be sixteen and of legal age to decide over yonder, will she still be with her teacher still?
"Goddard wept today as the judge, Anthony Pitts, sentenced her to 15 months. Pitts said the girl had made it clear she consented to sex. The judge said it had been a "difficult case".
So it seems there was more than just sex involved with it. It is still wrong what the teacher did and she should have waited until the girl was of legal age if they were attracted to each other, no excuses.
It is things like this that makes us realize a child is a child is a child.

Then we went on to incarcerate her, because, this teacher as an adult, she should have known better than indulging to a minor. I do believe, with a good behaviour she will be out in about 9 months, but the stigma will continue, being a lesbian will mean, she will then, continue living with a stamp on her forehead, and will be a pariah to this society, which she meant no harm to.
We seriously need to evaluate these kinds of crimes.
I was watching an advertisement of DOVE soap. It starts with a little girl facing a billboard with a model half naked, and it went on to show more of the same. Girls half naked appearing on billboards. Then it says, this little girl have a lot of influence that is corrupting her mind. DOVE is PURE.
It makes a lot of sense, to see that, young girls have to live with a certain expectations, and none are decent, all billboards with women on them, most of them they appear half naked, or none left for the imagination.
When other societies look at us and say, Our women are sexual objects, we take offense to that, but yet, this is what we subliminally teach them!!
A 15 years old consenting to a sexual relationship and a teacher cant make a wise decision!? BAH!!
On the paedophile vs pedophile thing, it's probably because of the origin of the word: from the greek paedos, which means child, and philia, which means love (if I remember correctly, it's been a while since my last ancient Greek class.)
all situations of adults, especially teachers, taking advantage of their authority are terrible. And they shouldn't be made light of, but upon reading the story about a teacher who recently slept 5 male students, 14-15 yrs old, (sometimes all at once) I couldn't help but picture my classmates from back in the day, and I doubt if many of them would've complained about such a scenario.
Wrong of these authority figures/adults? Absolutely.
I wish we could stop this misuse of the word "paedophile". It really refers to and adult who is attracted to pre-pubescent children. Unfortunately it has been used to describe adults attracted to any underage persons so much that people accept it as the proper meaning. A more appropriate term is ephebophile.
Using the colloquial term "paedophile" for the individual in this case puts her in the same pot as someone who would molest a baby. That should not be the case.
have to say, that teacher was smoking, if my music teacher looked like that, i would have flirted like a fool, and demanded gratification!
but seriously, if this was the 60s, it would be exciting, an older women showing the way to a younger girl, it would be delicate and exciting, and then extreme (in a good way)
but yes, 15 is a bit young, but when i was 15, i was not innocent, we all thought like we would one day in our 20s, stealing vibrators from spencer's gifts, and imaging every act possible
this is wrong, but i only believe so because of 2 reasons. 1) there is an eleven year difference, and 2) when you fool around with coworkers, it can get awkward if you break up
