Homeowner Puts up Electric Fence to Stop Yobs; Warned He Could be Prosecuted

Ralph Harvey, 63, and his neighbours have been suffering from yob attacks for some time so Ralph decided to take action to protect his home. He put up a 12-volt electric fence to prevent people climbing into his garden.

The police, who ignore his 999 calls however, have warned him that if a yob is injured by the low voltage fence, they could sue him. Mr Harvey took action to protect his home after a siege of bricks, paving slabs, and even acid in his street.

Neighbours are also under siege, one claiming to have had a skip worth of bricks thrown into their garden. Another neighbour is afraid to use her patio as she fears she could be killed by flying masonry. Police have stepped up patrols.

  I know

I'm like a stuck record.

It's worth highlighting though, hundreds of people every day are under siege from the broken, lawless, feral generation created by the liberal left. Momentum is building for the next election now. People see this government and their ideas are wrong. Just the consequences to deal with now.

I wouldn't say a stuck record, I would say that you found a problem to speak out about, I do it with Veterans and children, we each have something we want others to be aware of. I will say it like I did before, I am glad you have posted these and opened my eyes to a problem I had no idea was going on.

I said it before, but I think the fact that these kids can get away with anything they want is absolutley ape-shit crazy. I think you are right and they are feral just like a colony of cats. It is a damn shame that people are unable to protect themselves or their property without being the ones who would get in trouble. I see that the police stepped up patrols, but what I wonder is what can they actually do if they catch the yobs in the middle of something?

I think I am more interested in this and what is going on more than anything else right now. Thanks again Maxx.

  Jane,

i think the cases like these are so many that the police can not respond to them, now if there isn't an other solution then unfortunately it's needed to move to elsewhere.

created by the liberal left?!

care to explain?

  by: jamesmc   10/01/2009 10:04 PM
  Lberal left...

They do create a lawless youth by their ludicrous PC ideas like: "everyone in a ballgame is a winner, even if they lose", "you can't discipline a bad child, cause it may crush their spirit, or is abuse", No, "red" ink on tests or failing grades, "They are really victims" and finally it's for the children.....
Need I go on. Makes me want to puke!!!

oh ok I thought he was talking about something real.

  by: jamesmc   10/01/2009 11:12 PM
  Because

Creating a feral generation sounds like the "liberal left" is doing some kind of frankenstein genetic engineering thing.

I just didn't see how *actual* liberal left policies such as fixing social problems rather than simply sending more people to jail, shifting the burden of taxes away from the poorest people and subsidising or nationalising services like public transport and healthcare was creating these "yobs".

  solution

The mighty British Empire had a solution for lawlessness in the past - Australia.

I would recommend Afghanistan or the moon for this current bunch.

Ahhhhhhh can only speak out against the left no matter what it does. He doesn't have a reason he just enjoys it.

  ok ok

The government won't fix this, so hmm. I'm thinking fifteen foot stone walls. Would they not be scenic? (just don't use concrete) Fortify yourselves in your own homes to protect yourselves from the neighbours and the police.

That is probably what they would have to do. Hell maybe a mini-moat with some gators in it and have supplies dropped off by air. In my state we usually round up feral cat's and spay or neuter them, maybe it would work for the yobs too?

  by: TaraB     10/02/2009 01:01 AM
  @ yobs

Sounds like yall need a little Texas on the other side of the pond :)

Lots of guns, and one of the most "understanding" King of the Castle laws around! Over here, if some one throws a brick at you, its acceptible to shoot them, even if they're not on your property.

While I'm sure many of you will say that guns aren't the answer, I disagree -- mobs of feral kids won't be a problem here as long as we can legally use weapons on them and they know it.

I know that shooting at them sounds harsh, but they're feral. If you have feral hogs ravaging your property, you shoot them. If you have feral dogs threatening your family, you shoot them. If these kids want to act like animals, then treat them like animals.

Just my $0.02 worth...

I'm not British but I can't help but think that Britain's social welfare policies are a bit to blame. It sounds like they really reward people for having kids, the more kids you have the more money you get. So you get these huge families living in housing projects, the parents don't really want the kids but that is their source of income, no doubt they are happy to let them run the streets like little savages. How about not rewarding people for having tons of kids. I am a liberal, by the way, but this is just common sense.

Thing is I cant really blame the kids.

You would have to know the perents of these children to understand but most of these kids stand little chance of being anything else when there neglected and ignored most of there formative years left to find meaning and family amongst the friends they make.

Welfare is essential and is not the problem either maybe a look at what it is in our society that has turned this way of life into a popular option.

No Frankenstein experiments, and no, not the socially beneficial policies either.

More the policies that simply throw money at women every time they have a kid, encouraging them to see a child like a pay check. To neglect that child. To leave that child out on the street with no role models. For that child to join a gang to get some kind of social structure in it's life. For that child to commit crime in that gang and ruin it's entire future because nobody cared.

The policies that mean you can't imprison youngsters. Keeping them on the street terrorising people until they feel the only way out is to kill themselves (http://www.shortnews.com/... Giving those young people every chance to destroy another person's life because they might suffer if they were made to stop.

Policies that take the rights away from teachers to discipline children. Removing another role model and authority figure from their lives. Leaving them without respect for others.

Policies of fear regarding young people. Any adult who intervenes is a threat and must be punished. Leaving them doing whatever the hell the like because people are too scared of the consequences of trying to stop it.

Policies that provide free houses and money to anyone that can't or can't be bothered to work. Leaving every child brought up in that situation knowing they need not show respect or do work to get rewards. Allowing those children to grow into adults who have a twisted sense of entitlement to anything they want from the rest of society.

The kind of soft, spineless rules that bring a 71 year old widow to court for 'assaulting' a 17 year old boy who knows damned well he's above the law and the system will be on his side, even when he's in the wrong: http://www.shortnews.com/...

Those kind of liberal left wing policies. The kind that have all but wrecked Britain. The kind that will be leaving at the next general election.

Do excuse the essay, got on a roll :-)
