Obama Promises "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Policy Continuation on Israeli Nukes

According to The Washington Times the administration of Barack Obama will continue to allow Israel to stockpile nuclear weapons without opening them to international inspection.

The continuation of the 40 year standing policy of remaining silent over Israeli Nuclear weapons was backed up by the paper from three unnamed sources saying Obama confirmed with Binyamin Netanyahu that the "don't ask, don't tell" policy will continue.

Binyamin Netanyahu recently stated in a television interview that Obama’s remarks on a world free of nuclear weapons would not be applicable to the state of Israel.

  Hey, Silly Bitch...
Unless you have a crystal ball, I don't see how you can dance on tables over Obama not coming through since you have no idea what McCain would have done.
  by: vex   10/06/2009 03:26 PM
This is exactly what McCain was expected to do, while the Obamania was touting change to get votes.

He keeps (Obama) saying "Lets not play Politics" Godamn it what more can be politically motivated than the blattant support of this kind.

I am absolutely not for Nuclear armament, I dont care who think they are safe in whose hands, infact history will dictate otherwise and then Israel's lobby master has hands burried up American ass.

Watch him babble here about Missile defense system in Europe, which is going to be better than what Bush had suggested?

Change?? Yea I will wait when Leopard looses its spots.

This is so damning, it makes you think why wouldnt Iran want to pile stocks of Nuclear arsenal, when USA is blindingly supporting Israel having Nuclear weapons made in USA?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... These are the WMD.
"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" My A$$

this is what a Candidate for a leading US intelligence post, Charles "Chas" Freeman, a former US ambassador who is now president of the Middle East Policy Council think-tank, had initially agreed to chair the US National Intelligence Council that produces assessments of security issues. Withdrew his candidacy and threw a book on Obama (Not literally) what he called a "barrage of libellous distortions" of his record by the Israel lobby in the US.
Freeman quotes:
2007 - "The brutal oppression of the Palestinians by Israeli occupation shows no sign of ending"

More from here

2007 - "Israel is even more despised and isolated than we are, and together with the Israelis we are rapidly multiplying the ranks of terrorists with regional and global reach."

I think you are bluuffing big time,
This is the art of poker, Israel is bluffing, it has nothing, anymore than Iran has, it is all a way to get "Yanquis" to pay for their lifestyles, go on Isarel, go on Iran, let us see them go bang......

If I am wrong, I will be the first to say sorry....

  Not impressed.
I'd love for Iran to have nukes because it would bring a balance of power to the region. As it stands, Israel admitted that if they lost the Yom Kippur war, they would have launched every nuke they had at every target they saw, including the Soviet Union and the US. That was 1973 and I'm willing to bet they haven't decreased the amount of nukes they have since then.

awww poor thing can't admit you where duped lol, McCain would have been the same the difference Obama pleged change.

  by: willyshawker     10/07/2009 01:06 AM
If Obama were to actually change this policy, the outrage from the right -- at least its older members -- would be absolutely uncontainable.

It just goes to show how stupid the right is in America right now -- they don't even realize that it was their own predecessors who led to this situation in the first place.

Ah, the topic of Israel just by itself is enough to through conservatives for a loop these days ...
  by: Ben_Reilly     10/07/2009 01:15 AM
but the right doesn't matter just a bunch of neo cons correct? So what does it matter that he goes back to his platform of change.

America got duped plain and simple what change have we seen? Gitmo? Ha that won't even be closed by Jan like he promised, I bet you in 2012 it will still be open for business.

Transparency? ANother farce. Healthcare? Nope not yet doubt we get it. Iraq? No chage there, No change period has happened period just like Bush and McCain more of the same
  by: willyshawker     10/07/2009 01:36 AM
If nothing has changed then why are you so angry?
  by: steme   10/07/2009 02:02 AM
Obama's is the most transparent administration in the nation's history. As far as Gitmo being open in 2012, I'll bet you a hundred bucks it's closed next year. And on those other topics -- if you want health care reform so bad, you should write Obama or give money to the many groups running pro-reform ads. If you're not willing to fight for it, you should shut up about it.
  by: Ben_Reilly     10/07/2009 02:02 AM
Left out one; Iraq. Of course, you already knew that the Iraqis danced in the streets after, under Obama's plan, all our troops were withdrawn from their cities. Did you know that the pace of withdrawal from Iraq has actually been accelerated? No? Must be that damn liberal media; here you go:
  by: Ben_Reilly     10/07/2009 02:07 AM
Why should I fight for it, I dont want it, Hell we still don't know what it is like I asked you a few days ago. Does it include Dental and Vision and you have no clue like the rest of us.

I wrote the White House on a few occasions asking questions and all 3 times I got the same exact letter. That answered nothing I asked.

Gitmo closed by next year ha, the White House already said that by Jan it won't be closed no one wants the people there. I bet you 100 bucks in 2012 it will still be open. I actually think this issue will be one of the issues why he won't get re-elected.

Iraq it was promised all through the primaries we would be gone right away, we all know that wasn't feasible but he should have never run on that.

All Obama is doing is the same thing Bush was doing and the rest of them. People where duped in believing it will be better guess what its not

I was wondering if you knew where in the US they planned to build the prison?

My suggestion would be to build it in Nevada, As far out in the middle of nowhere as you can get in Nevada. Allow US military to keep running it, and make it a 6 month TDY.
  by: SoulSerenity   10/07/2009 07:53 AM
  The prison
They will pick the one they were visiting here in Michigan. It is a Supermax, not too old and the town is cheap to live so the people hired to work there can live very nice.

You can look at it two ways when it comes to this: Michigan needs the work or Michigan is already so far down the recession hole they haven't left the depression part so why not put them there. The state will be empty soon and it can be blocked off and the prisoners can figured out how to escape with the lakes surrounding it.

You would like the leader of Iran...The holocaust denying man who when asked how they treat gay people in his country his answer was that his country hasent been afflicted with the gay have a nuclear arsenal? Somehow I think your logic is skewed a bit...I would think that a drawdown of Nuclear weapons until there are none left would be a better idea than to arm psychopaths in order to "Bring a balance of power" to any region. Somehow the idea of being incinerated in a nano second along with millions of other people no longer being possiblity makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
  by: SoulSerenity   10/07/2009 08:05 AM
Since when have we held the authority to preach about 'balance of power'?
  by: redstain   10/07/2009 01:25 PM
Captainchainsaw said he wished iran had nukes to bring a balance of power...I feel a worldwide drawdown of all nuclear arms should be the ultimate goal, not arm a psycho to bring about a balance of power
