Singer Paul Anka has been credited by Michael Jackson's estate for co-writing the late pop singer's latest single "This Is It", which was released in part to promote an upcoming documentary on Jackson's preparations for his London shows.
The song was originally written for a 1983 duets album, and used to be called "I Never Heard". Jackson and Anka are credited with an early-90s version of the song as well, which was recorded by Sa-Fire.
Anka will get 50% of the profits from "This Is It". Anka had initially contemplated legal action but now says the lack of credit to his name was "an honest mistake".
