George P. Bush -- or "P," as some know him -- will ship out to either Iraq or Afghanistan with his Navy Reserve unit in the coming weeks. He´s thought by some to be the biggest hope for the political dynasty´s future, but that will be put on hold.
Bush, 33, told the Daily Beast, "It´s been communicated to me that it´s not a question of ´if,´ it´s a question of ´when.´ It´s just a matter of time." Some have suggested he might run for office in Texas within the next eight years.
George P. Bush has served since 2007, inspired by the military career of his grandfather, President George H.W. Bush, and by former NFL star Pat Tillman. He is the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and the nephew of President George W. Bush.
3 mistakes of bush presidencies (bush jr´s 2 and that of his father´s single term) it MORE than enough... that family isn´t fgit for politics they´ve throughly proven that.
that was in relation to "Some have suggested he might run for office in Texas within the next eight years.", thats how bush junior started, and bush senior for that matter.
I have met with George Bush Last year and as an Iraqi citizen I found him to be a fine , hard working and honorable person could well fit as the future leader . he truly understands the Iraqi concerns .
"yeah, i found a story on that too....on conspiracyplanet.com"
one of probably tens of thousands of sources... is this one alittle better for you: http://www.guardian.co.uk/ "Again, your Anti-American mindset hinders your ability to see logic."
LOL, or perhaps i see things that you as an american don´t want to see.... as was obviously the case of the former arguement of the bush family history, and esspecially the nazi connection which is a fell known fact more than 60 years after the fact, apparently you missed the memo.
It´s not anti-American to acknowledge facts. Do you still think Prescott Bush-Nazi connection is just a farce? Or is it that it just doesn´t matter now that you can easily see it is a fact? Sorry, but if you ignore reality in favor of a fantasy or ideal you´d rather see, that´s your fault. BTW, nice try on discrediting HAVOC with that "conspiracy" website. Too bad for you the facts are on his side in this case.
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, WHAT DID BUSH DO WRONG. EVERYONE THINKS HE´S A TERRIBLE PRESIDENT. SURE THE TORTURE AFFAIR, BUT EVERYONE HAS A FEW BUMPS IN THEIR PRESIDENCY. HOW WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IT DIFFRENTLY. Would you have let terrorists walk all over us? Would you leave a nation who needs us? Would you risk US lives? Everyone only sees bad things he did. He did a few things wrong but alot less than other people would have done.
To think some of you guys have this train of thought.
I remember how insulted I felt when, following a grade behind my older brother, the teachers expressed disdain for me without ever knowing me. It was automatically, "You´re the other Pennington brother?" and the eyes would literally roll. I was already a jackass in their eyes from the first day. Of course, I always got the chance to prove them wrong.
Don´t start that "apple doesn´t fall far from the tree" crap. Because unless you know for a fact, you´re just talking. Making assumptions. You know, being an idiot, in short.
Man. I never knew how passionate I was about this childhood trauma I endured. Bwha =P
Finally someone comes along who has the common sense to realize that Bush had only two options -- either committing horrific human rights violations against people suspected of involvement in terrorist activities, or letting the terrorists walk all over us. You get the Golden Thinking Cap Award for 2009!!!!
Wow mention another Bush and all hell breaks loose.
The quote in the second paragraph is a sly one Ben I will give you that. I read the source and got it in the correct context, nice spin on it. ;-)
ShortNewsSucks aka skcuss- What was the deal with replying to mufada like you did? Who cares if he signed up to post, usually that is what people do when the read a summary they would like to comment on. Let´s chase off someone that can help SN grow in the US. Someone made the comment earlier this week that they like the features that .de offers and the reply informed us that .de is so busy with both traffic and people. Why chase away someone who wasn´t being rude and just giving his thoughts? It might shock you that YES there are Iraqi people that like the US but they do.
I mean Torenso had a pretty intense reply with much more passion towards those who don´t like the GW Bush and they are new also. Must be because Mufada met the young man in Iraq and isn´t allowed to like US soldiers, I thought we got rid of Saddaam I had no clue we want someone else just like him.
As for P running, there is no mention of it from his mouth and since he is leaving sometime soon I am sure his mind isn´t on politics but his upcoming tour. Actually serving in the military instead of skipping it and getting a pat on his ass like his uncle.
I would laugh for hours if he did run, but as a Democrat or Indpendant. I wonder how the Republican party would feel about a man running whos mother wasn´t American, father is American. Would they accuse HIM of not being a citizen? Would all the people that are against a bi-racial man for president and because one of his parent´s were not American feel the same way about a republican and a Bush? Fair is fair and what kind of experience would he be able to get before he ran, if he does? I would have to hold him to the same examples as those the R has brought up and allowed some in their party to slander the President over.
It will be interesting to see and I might have to keep a little notepad to remind me who said what and reverses it for the other side.
"The techniques included multiple beatings; total sensory deprivation; keeping suspects awake for weeks on end; keeping prisoners on the edge of medical hypo-thermia and extreme heat; stress positions that make a human being buckle under muscular distress and pain; and religious, sexual, cultural and psychological abuse. Bush and Cheney also added waterboarding, long classified as torture in American and international law."
Yes, your Anti-American sentiment does stop you from seeing reason and using common sense.
If we were to apply the logic you´re using here universally, then any German citizen who´s great grandfather had ties to the Nazi Party would be rendered a bad apple. If a man´s racist great grandfather was a member of the KKK, does that automatically make him a racist?
Your logic is terribly flawed, and the only thing you have against this guy who is brave enough to pick up a rifle and defend his country in an honorable way is because he is related to a president you disagree with...because he is an American.
You are so blinded by your hatred of America you fail to use common sense when being critical of it´s policies or citizens in this case. To be very honest, you´re small-minded rants about how evil the USA and its people are is becoming very old.
Apparently the crimes were so severe that Congress had to pass a law to keep us from seeing the pictures. I would say that is off the ´War Crime´ scale.
As for ´P´, I don´t want anyone dead so I´m boxing up all my old shoes and sending them to Afghanistan.
