Seventh Sneaker with Disembodied Foot Washes Ashore

An ongoing mystery in British Colombia got deeper this week as a seventh disarticulated foot washed up on shore in the region. Exactly how the feet have become detached is unknown.

It all started in August 2007 when a right foot in a running shoe was found on Jedediah Island. The foot's body was eventually identified, but the name was not released. He had been reported missing from the mainland. They've been washing up ever since.

The most recent foot was found in Richmond by two beach-goers on Tuesday night. It was a size 8 1/2 right foot in a running shoe. Coroner Jeff Dolan said, “At first glance it doesn’t match any of the other feet.”

	Here´s the suspicion:
	Serial killer puts weights on murder victims, victims bodies sink, feet float after leg eaten aways by critters... Or, boat sank and same thing occurs Or, serial killer chopping legs off and then throwing them in the water. In any of these: it´s all bad news!!!

	to be fair...
	...the source says the feet seem to have come off as a result of natural processes or something, so they don´t think foul-play is involved. But they don´t understand why these feet have become detached, especially at such an apparently high frequency in the area.

	OK I´ll be serious for a moment. I am wondering how they can tell it is a natural process vs something like MexicanRevolution said? So what could be causing this? Funeral home that was supposed to cremate bodies hid them near the river in a mass grave which somehow only spits out feet? Do they leave men tied by one ankle and let mother nature take over? Over 2 years of right feet washing up to an island and they think it might be natural? Why are they not releasing the names of the victims? It might bring forth a couple of tips that would lead to the reason and maybe a person who is doing it.

	Might be complete coincidence.
	If these people are commiting suicide in such a way they are actually never likely to be found the ´floating footwear´ might be the only evidence because it protects the foot and has boyancy. Are there any large pits nearby that are connected to the sea that they might be jumping into? Cliffs that they can get shredded on etc?

	These things
	have been popping up over a a fairly large area. Doesn´t seem to me to be from the same source. I lived near there most of my life. A few years ago someone planted a fake foot. Wouldn´t be surprised if some of these are from copycat individuals. Does keep life interesting, though!

	Access excellent thought! I do wonder what might be around there that could be a place for suicide or murder. Womenareviolent- Springboarding from Access´ comment even though it is a leage area could there be some areas that people could either commit suicide or murder at? Another thing what about areas that druggies might go to so they won´t get caught? Maybe an area that if they fall they would simply be hung upside down until a branch or whatever goes through their ankle?
