George Galloway opened his speech at the Kuala Lumpur Conference with stories of his and others' attempts to reach Gaza and also of the encountering of a young girl who had been orphaned by an Israeli attack.
In a few weeks, Galloway and others plan a 500-vehicle convoy to Gaza through Europe. He said it is necessary to do this due to the special treatment given to Israelis when at the same time their victims are labelled terrorists.
He also said that the world we currently live in is governed by self-proclaimed emperors who make their own laws to wage war on others and pointed out the hypocrisy of the UN security council in regards to nuclear weapons.
@CaptainJane. You meant Boycott, right? currently this is happening. Denmark is currently regretting the Mohamads cartoon, because their produce is not welcomed in Arab world and Arabs were the main purchasers of Danish produce.
Israel needs to see that the people of the world, even if not the governments, know right from wrong. Israel have committed some evil acts which should not go un-punished in my view.
Gallowdouche speaks for every middle eastern tyrant, ethnic cleanser and wife beater from the region. What he says is even more comforting to people whose reality consist mostly of comfortable myth built upon comfortable myth.
He speaks for Hamas and instead of giving the middle-east a dose of criticism & reality which they desperatly require he keeps offering them happy enemas. A douche.

@Cptn.Jane: As much as yo have a drive to see misery in that little strip of land. In the middle east, over 1 million jews had been ethnically cleansed from Arab countries over the last 30yrs. And now they want to ethnically cleanse the rest of the jews left in that tiny strip of land. And in Gaza the number multiplied even though the israeli had the capacity to wipe the place out. They did not. I am so so sorry Cptn.Jane but you will need to locate a source of misery somewhere else.
Galloway is feeding into the comfortable myths, the middle east had built around itself. They wallow in myth Instead of going after their own leaders and theocrats and demanding better for themselves. A myth like when Skuss states i am an israeli zionist.
Just because horrible monsters did something, doesn´t automatically mean that every single action can be judged as negative on its own, just as not every action of a generally good person would be a good one.
It is however definitely a question of the combination of your actions and what you seek to achieve.
Does the end justify the means? Again it depends on where you draw the line.
My personal reasoning(as an example): Is it ok to kill another person? - "No." Is it ok to kill someone who would otherwise kill me or my wife? - "Hell yeah!"
Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, there seldom is black and white but just shades of grey.
My own had positions in the israeli army and seats in the israeli congress until Yasser decided it is 100% islam/arab nationalism or nothing.
As a result Palestinians were made to be sacrificed by arab nationalists, and when the nationalists failed in their own turfs, soon followed by arab islamists for the sake of providing a good enemy and focus for failed causes.
Even in 1979, Egypt and Saddat got ostracized by the other nationalists of his day for even daring to attempt discussing a solution that saw each side ruling themselves.
So many occasions could have seen palestinians with a flag and a country except for our assh0le allies insisting on ´every inch of palestine or nothing´.

But Galloway is not going after the Arabs who betrayed the Palestinians now is he.
That the us,simply stops supporting Israel with money and weapons,if no state for the Palestinians is not forth coming,but that will never happen because the Jewish lobby is very powerful in the USA,lets be honest there will never be peace in that area,not in our lifetimes,there are too many different groups that do not want peace simple has,we will more than likely still be on about this in years too come.
Isn´t it possible to work against injustices committed by BOTH sides?
I do not know much about this Galloway, being an American, but it seems people think you can only support EITHER Israel OR Palestine. I support the right of the people of all places to be free from war and terror, no matter their nationality. And, as an American, my government supports Israel´s attack on Palestinian civilians. I oppose that - it´s something I can have influence over. That doesn´t mean I believe Hamas should have free reign to terrorize Palestinians and shoot rockets at Israelis. Also, Israel is in the position of strength - in any conflict, the one who is in a position of strength has the greater capability, and responsibility, of making a moral choice.
