Israel Makes a Mockery of the US by Breaking Promises Made on Peace Talks
Israel's demolition strategy is still ongoing, with five houses bulldozed on Tuesday. This is completely against all of Obama's directions and is creating more damage on the peace talks. Hillary Clinton is expected to arrive within the next five days.
Mayor Nir Barkat stated that he intended to halt 70% of demolition. Spokesman Orly Noy told Sky News: "The extreme behavior of the municipality is an irresponsible step that could escalate the situation in the city and bring it to a new boiling point."
One house owned by settlers stands seven stories high. Located in East Jerusalem, it was deemed as unlawful by the courts in 2003; in spite of this, the city has still left it standing, in contrast to the many Palestinian people still losing their homes.
A spokesman told Sky News the authority is only carrying out demolition orders against illegal buildings according to the law. "The Jerusalem municipality acts according to and performs the decisions of the Israeli court - it operates without discrimination between the areas of the city or the different populations living in it," he said.

Stop all US aid to Israel, stop all arms shipments to Israel, place an embargo on Israel, demand that nuclear weapons inspectors be allowed to inspect Israels stockpile of weapons. Label them a terrorist nation and threat to the world. Treat them just like Iran or N. Korea. That should get their attention. Stop pussyfooting around and start playing hardball, its the only thing they understand.
Yes. It is easy enough to stop or at least limit - in theory. Cut off their sources of finances and supplies.
However, I suspect that those who have the actual authority to do anything substantial in that direction are in Israel´s pocket.
Remember what happened when the USA refused to arm Cuba with nukes? "OK", said Castro. "Then we´ll Just ask your enemy (Russia) for them and they´ll become our allies instead. Then there will be nukes 90 miles off your shores. You had your chance."
If we don´t give Israel what they demand, then they´ll just turn to our enemies for support. Like they already do every time our back is turned.
It´s also wise to remember that "religion" has a vital central role in all this crap in the Middle East - which means that the end result is always predictable. No peace until the #1 disease that causes most wars is cured.
Israel´s goals, methods, influence in world affairs is disproportionate to its size and needs.
Of course there is, there was a prevention, not only many years ago but an countless times but the world chose to ignore taking action and not only that our countries also protected them from the come backs they rightly deserved. All this intervention has given the Israelis way to much of a free hand. It is like a child and the candy jar, the candy is meant for two children but the one is permitted to keep on TAKING so the other child gets no candy. When that child grows up he takes anything he wants, because he knows he can get away with most things, so now he WANTS everything and has it all, so now he wants more and more then eventually the want is not an issue anymore, he now knows what ever he DEMANDS he will get, and he will continue with his greed, why, because he can knows full well no one will dare to stop him. And by the way mark my words; Hitler2 is now in the making, if not already here.
A solution to this will come at a very high price, part of it would be to take away this un deserved protection our governments keep on providing, when the countries retaliate, when they have been attacked; they should have every right to hit back. If this aiding does not stop they will build a force that will blow up I all our faces, we are not respected by them we are a commodity and why not, we always have been, we are as bad as they are so why would they have respect for the people who assisted them in their horrendous ongoing war crimes.
Khiam prison was a detention and interrogation centre during the years of the Israeli occupation in Southern Lebanon. From 1985 until the Israeli withdrawal this May, thousands of Lebanese were held in Khiam without trial. Most of them were brutally tortured - some of them died. To help secure its hold on Southern Lebanon, Israel armed and financed a local Lebanese militia, the South Lebanon Army or SLA. In theory the SLA was there to protect the interests of the Lebanese community - in practice it did Israel´s work by proxy. The SLA provided Khiam´s guards and interrogators.
Children tortured
14 year old Ali was tortured for 11 days and says he started making up stories to please his interrogators. Ali Kashmar was kept in Khiam for ten years. He grew up from a boy to a man within the prison walls - without even a mirror to use as his appearance changed, and spent time in solitary confinement. eleased after a decade as part of a hostage exchange - 55 Khiam prisoners and the bodies of 44 Lebanese were traded for the remains of three Israeli soliders in 1998. Terribly damaged by his years in Khiam, he is still fighting severe psychological difficulties - and there is nowhere in Lebanon that provides treatment for this kind of trauma.
Ryadh Kalakesh was 17 when he was detained in Khiam. He comes from a family that was deeply involved with the Islamic group Hezbollah - one of his brothers was a suicide bomber - and he was picked up by Israeli troops on a sweep through his village in 1986. Ryadh was tortured for 11 months, and gives a graphic account of what it was like; the use of electric shocks administered through wires attached to the finger tips or the genitals, the beatings, the dousings with hot then cold water, and what was known as "the pole", where prisoners - often after being striped naked - were handcuffed and suspended for hours at a time.
Ryadh´s brother Adel was detained in Khiam too; when Adel refused to tell the interrogators what they wanted to hear they hauled in his wife Mona and tortured her so that he could hear her screams. Mona suffered electric shocks - through wires attached to her nipples - spent three months in solitary confinement and lost her baby while she was in the prison.
To think anyone of us support this just makes me ill!

Things are not going to change. As long as lobbyists are aloud to operate in America, Israel´s agenda will always have an unfair representation.
My solution - do away with electoral colleges, ban lobbyists, give each presidential candidate the same level of access to the media regardless of financial ability & limit the media´s ability to speculate on presidential candidates (in other words any statements can´t be biased and need to be fact checked with the greatest level of care. No bs claiming that a candidate is a Saudi operative with the source being some hill billy Joe blow.)
I really think that if America discontinued it´s financial and political support of Israel the middle east would be a lot less of a threat to the west. I really wish that America took 911 as a wake up call rather then a reason to start an un-winnable campaign against terrorism. I am quite confident that if America had of stayed out of the middle east then 911 would have never happened.
The Jews were there before anyone else, its their holy land before it is anyone else´s and since WW2, when they got their land back they have been attacked. Of course they are going to fight back. The west holds them back to be fair because without us, they may well have taken out Egypt, Syria and Jordan by now
Palestinians were there during in the time of Christ and have as much to remain there as the Jews, but the Israelis, want the whole hog, it is wrong and it looks at long last the world is starting to see this now. The settlers are the people entering Israel since the last world war. Sorry mate I don´t agree! I knew we would start. :P
