Man Uses Lynx Products for 7 Years But Fails to Get a Girlfriend, Sues Manufacturer Claiming ´Lynx Effect´ Doesn´t Work

India: 26-year-old Vaibhav Bedi has filed a £26,000 lawsuit against Unilever, claiming that 'Lynx effect' does not work. He has been using Lynx products for seven years and has not had one girlfriend during that time.

Bedi claims he has been cheated by the company because no women were attracted to him and came to him like in the Lynx advertisements. Forensic testing has been ordered for the remnants of a number of his Lynx products.

Compensation litigator Ram Jethmalani suggested the company settle, saying that "there is no data to substantiate the supposition that unattractive and unintelligent men don't attract women."

"There is no data to substantiate the supposition that unattractive and unintelligent men don´t attract women. In fact some of the best looking women have been known to marry and date absolutely ghoulish guys. I´d suggest that the company settles this issue out of court."

To be honest that hasn´t been my observation.

  The "Lynx" effect is canceled..
by the curry effect. No matter how much carp you spray or use on yourself will even get rid of stench of curry saturated clothes.

  Please...
tell me this guy is not going to win this case. Lol

  LMAO...
Ugly, unintelligent men get laid every day while good looking, very intelligent men do without.

You need game, fellas. Not pheromone spray from moose balls. Most women are attracted to men who are funny, confident and accommodating. If you can manage that, you can get them hooked. Then it will be too late once they figure out how ugly and stupid you are. If you don´t believe me.... just ask Mrs. BB. She´s been stuck for almost 24 years now. :)

  Lucky...
 Mrs BB. :)

If a person is so good looking and knows it, they are just a bore.

I am from Wales and knew a family I was friendly with since a child. A member of that family was about the best looking man for miles he was outstanding this was not only in my mind but every woman and girl knew it. There came a time he wanted to ask me out, being the ugly duckling I was surprised, with no definite plan we tried going out for drinks and dinner, I was never so bloody bored in my whole life. It was all him, anywhere that would mirror his image was looking. No conversation or laughs I could not get away quick enough.

So BB, as you well know, your lady got the best deal and by the way, you are good looking and the beauty of it all is, you just don´t know! Find me your identical twin please.

LOL: "No matter how much carp you spray"

Actually, if you spray yourself with "carp" it might just cover that "curry" smell.

Lynx effect does not work but
there are pheromone sprays that do work! Lynx is a stupid name anyway, in the rest of the world this product is called "AXE" which looks and sounds a lot cooler.

  i hope he wins..to a point
I get so pissed off with false advertisement. so many companies say they will do something, or their product makes your life better because it´ll do this or that, and it doesn´t...at all.

companies that say that crap deserve to be punished.

then again....it´s such BS to have that expectation of a product...

 by: ludwitr   11/01/2009 07:18 PM
  <blushes> at Jane....
Lurker: I thought the same thing.

ludwiter: If their product helps one man attract a female, then they aren´t lying. Since that´s pretty difficult to prove or disprove... we must fall back on "buyer beware" and expect people to take some responsibility for their own decisions.

It´s Axe in the US too
I hate to tell this guy, but that stuff smells really bad if you put too much on and if she was using all the products he really smelled enough to cause breathing problems. The kids in 6th grade and up washes in vats of that stuff I swear.

Get a load of the compensation litigator suggesting they settle HAHAHA! Maybe if he had ANY kind of personality and wouldn´t be so stupid to think that just because models in the commercial they are paid to do will fall for him? Let me guess thanks to this guy we are going to see warnings on all of the Axe products.

I mean hell if you take what the one guy said as any warning they have already decided to his winning. I think these products that smell like a male version of a french whore. I prefer nice subtle stuff not sweaty teenage boys and the add more stink into the mix.

 by: TaraB     11/02/2009 08:03 AM
  It had to be false...
as if anybody dumb enough to use Lynx would ever use a deodorant?! LoL
 by: Zmethod     11/02/2009 09:29 AM
  @Zmethod
They don´t just use it as deodorant, these 13-16 year olds bathe in it, no water needed just pour that crap on and watch the girls start to have trouble breathing, and here he thoght that taking your breath away was a literal saying.
 by: TaraB     11/02/2009 09:44 AM
  heh...
not that anything from Ananova has even proven to be true.

Why do we allow them as a source again? I´ve got about 20 years of Onion articles saved up.
