Teacher Arrested for ´Disciplining´ 3- and 4-Year-Olds By Stabbing Them With a Syringe

China: 24-year-old Sun Qiqi has been arrested after allegedly using a syringe to maintain order in her classroom. 20 of the 37 three- and four-year-olds left in her care showed evidence of 'discipline'.

Bai Yali, the school principal, claimed no knowledge of the incident and described the young teacher's performance as good. It has also come to light that the school is operating without a license.

All the children have been tested for HIV with none testing positive. One mother said that her daughter was jabbed several times in her hand and backside. Another toddler was stabbed eight times for not napping.

Three-year-old won´t go to sleep? Sure, stab him repeatedly with a syringe, that will calm him right down and make him go to sleep.

Putting together some information from other sources: Sun herself is not licensed to teach. She graduated from a nursing school (not sure at what level) and was unemployed until she got this job. According to an old classmate she has a bad temper. I do not foresee a lengthy career in education or health care at this point in time...

It is frightening, thinking about what kind of people we leave to care for our children sometimes....

Also wth was she thinking? Pain won´t be the trick to help a child sleep...

looks like as if everything can be done with the students in that school by the teachers.

  I believe
I can safely say there are no unlicensed teachers working at unlicensed teaching facilities here in the us. Maybe it´s a bigger problem elsewhere in the world.

For some reason random summaries magically eat my comments, this is the second week I know I have written something and it does away.

I can´t remember who had also posted but I know I did!

  I have
a feeling she is suffering from withdrawal. She should seek help immediately, or forced to be examined in this case, since she is showing Schizo traits. What a psycho.

"The number of unqualified teachers taking classes in state schools has soared in the last decade, new figures suggest.

Data released to the Conservatives reveals that the number of teachers in English schools that do not have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) - the government´s official teaching qualification - has risen from 2,940 in 1997 to 16,710 in 2007."

This is what we got here in UK.

  teachers in China
I saw a lot of abusive teachers in China, especially the poorer areas and poor public schools that cram 100 kids into one small classroom with no materials.
I saw a lot of head slapping but never any syringe stabbings.
