China: 24-year-old Sun Qiqi has been arrested after allegedly using a syringe to maintain order in her classroom. 20 of the 37 three- and four-year-olds left in her care showed evidence of 'discipline'.
Bai Yali, the school principal, claimed no knowledge of the incident and described the young teacher's performance as good. It has also come to light that the school is operating without a license.
All the children have been tested for HIV with none testing positive. One mother said that her daughter was jabbed several times in her hand and backside. Another toddler was stabbed eight times for not napping.
