Serena Williams has finished the touring season by beating her big sister Venus in the Sony Ericsson Championship final. Serena took the title 6-2, 7-6, completing her fourth straight win over her older sibling.
On taking the championship title, Serena said: "I totally didn't expect to come here and win. Playing a final against Venus is really tough. Even though she wasn't really feeling great, she kept hitting every ball back."
Serena last won the championship trophy in 2001. Both women wore strapping, as playing in the championship is compulsory. Venus had a strapped knee and Serena had a heavily-bandaged thigh.
