Court Orders Child Rapist Be Beheaded and Crucified.

Saudi Arabia: A 22-year-old who raped five children and abandoned one of them, a three-year-old, to die in the desert has been sentenced to beheading and crucifixion by the court of cassation.

To date Saudi Arabia has executed approximately 40 people since the start of 2009 - many of them murderers, drug traffickers, and rapists. The country has attracted the ire of rights groups who say the justice being meted out is draconian.

By Saudi legal definition crucifixion involves placing the beheaded body on public display by lashing it to wooden beams.

  Note
 I believe the court of cassation is roughly equivalent to the supreme court.

 for him...I´ve spent some time in KSA and they do not take crime lightly there. In fact, upon arrival in the country, my little visitor card that normally reads "Welcome to Whatever Country" then asks all about your information and why you are coming to that country actually read "Warning: Drug Trafficers Will Be Executed"

I only wish the US would condemn child rapists to death.

  But why???
 I believe the point of crucifixion is to humiliate the person... Wont that be difficult if he´s been beheaded?

  This is where the ruling comes from
 This is where the ruling came from the koran:

5:32 - For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah´s Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.

5:33 - The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom;

5:34 - Save those who repent before ye overpower them. For know that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

  This is madness
 they kill not prevent. If they want to stop the problem prevention is a better idea.

  Great
 We could use come ruling like this here in the USA. We should execute murders and child rapists found guilty by DNA evidence. We should probably also execute corporate officers found guilty of corruption, like China.

  @Manic_Panic
 You missed the summary where DNA evidence can be forged too?

 " If they want to stop the problem prevention is a better idea."

The problem is these people will always pick on the innocent ones that can not defend their-selves so prevention is impossible.

 And how do you propose we prevent a sociopath from acting like a sociopath?

 by: Dayron   11/04/2009 01:48 PM
  @ixuzus
 Actually, yes I did. That´s too bad really.

  I am a biochemical engineer
 DNA evidence can be forged but the common public does not understand how difficult and costly this truly is, to replicate enough DNA for a conclusive result will take weeks not to mention you have to be certified to recieve the appropriate equipment and materials to do so and not to mention the securtity tracking of these materials via the government. Forging DNA would have to be done by someone trusted and in good standing in the field, doubtful that would happen.

 it would be much more feasible to plant the DNA

 Thank you very much for you input into that. I was wondering how someone would be able to that because the usual speciment is not that large.

People have watched way too much CSI. If only we could find killers, get them to convicted and ride off into the Miami, Las Vegas, New York sunset.

  Hmmmm
 I dunno about the rest of you but i say thats the kind of punishment i like to see, when there is absolutely no doubt that the people involved are guilty.

I wish we had these laws in the UK, there might just be less crime then.

I would also really like to see this done to Ian Huntley. I always said he should of been executed, instead of in prison on constant suicide watch costing us the tax payer like 800k a year.

Just my 2 cents...

  @M4CRO_
 So you would be okay with a criminal who is smart enough not to leave much evidence to get a much harsher sentence than a dumb criminal who commits the exact same crime but leaves more evidence?
 by: ixuzus  SuperVisor   11/08/2009 02:53 AM
  @ixuzus
 I´m new so be gentle with me

to be honest i would prefer them BOTH to get a HARSH punishment people need to learn from example and learn NOT to do these stupid types of things

and about the punishment... to be honest its way over done compared to US standards just saying :)

  @BAD
 Welcome to SN.

I´m all for harsh punishment if the crime warrants it (it most certainly does in this case) but not as a deterrent - criminals don´t plan on getting caught so the deterrent factor is of questionable value. I think that anything that is done after the criminal is dead is just a little over the top myself.
