Sainsbury's shoppers can plug in electric vehicles for free while in their stores.

In accord with London's Mayor Boris Johnson's policy to make London the "electrical vehicle capital of Europe", the supermarket's policy is a view of the world to come.

Quoting Mayor Johnson: "I warmly welcome the arrival of Sainsbury's network....which will put half of all London's population within three miles of a charge point."
